Sei Ngan Zai Roasted brings traditional Cantonese-style roasted meats to their location, specialising in sui mei preparations that have defined southern Chinese cuisine for generations. The name "Sei Ngan Zai" (四眼仔) translates to "Four Eyes Boy" in Cantonese, a colloquial nickname that adds personality to the brand while maintaining focus on traditional roasting techniques.
The restaurant offers a comprehensive selection of roasted meats including roast duck, char siew (barbecued pork), siu yuk (crispy roast pork belly), and soya sauce chicken. Each protein receives specific treatment according to established Cantonese methods, with marinades incorporating secret blends of herbs and spices that develop complex flavours during the roasting process. The roast duck achieves crispy skin while maintaining moist meat, char siew displays the characteristic red-brown exterior with caramelised edges, and siu yuk delivers the essential crackling that defines proper execution.
Customers can pair their chosen meats with rice, noodles, or hor fun (flat rice noodles), creating complete meals that balance protein and carbohydrates. This flexibility accommodates different preferences while maintaining the roasted meat as the centrepiece of each dish. Combination plates allow diners to sample multiple roasted items in a single meal, providing variety for those unable to choose between options.
Sei Ngan Zai Roasted operates multiple locations across Singapore including AMK Hub, Jurong Point, and Bugis Junction, establishing a network that brings Cantonese roasted meats to various neighbourhoods. The chain model allows for economies of scale in sourcing while maintaining consistent preparation standards across outlets.
Delivery partnerships with Deliveroo and Foodpanda extend the restaurant's reach beyond walk-in diners, acknowledging that roasted meat appeal transcends dine-in experiences. The dishes travel reasonably well when packaged properly, though purists might argue that eating immediately after preparation yields optimal skin crispness and temperature.

We were staying at a hotel nearby and came across Sei Ngan Zai Roasted inside Malaysia Boleh at The Centrepoint. My five-year-old daughter and I absolutely loved the food here, especially the roast pork and roast duck. We enjoyed it so much we ate here three times — twice at the food court and once as takeaway back to our room. The service is very fast and efficient, and the food was consistently tasty. Great spot if you're craving some well-done roasted meats in the Orchard area.

The shrimp wanton noodles (with charsiew) was really good. The charsiew was extraordinary - the barbecued marinate tasted so good and the meat itself was juicy and thick, felt really authentic. The shrimp wanton had generous fillings as well, and the noodles itself was pleasant to eat. There were a lot of other variety of food as well, would love to try another time. It was so worth it (5.5 sgd) - would definitely come back again!
