This is by far the best ramen I have had in Singapore. Finding a good ramen place in Singapore is often a hit-or-miss affair. But this one ticked all the boxes. Fresh, chewy noodles, piping hot and rich broth. There is something special about their bowl that the noodles are still smoking hot even towards the end of eating. Coupled with the intimate ambience of the place, it feels like eating fine dining ramen. Their other dishes are equally awesome. It’s worth the wait on a Sunday afternoon. Feels like in Japan in the heart of Orchard Road. Definitely will be back.

Drawn in by the snaking queue, I thought I was in for a culinary revelation—but what unfolded was a masterclass in disappointment.
First blow: the staff, so forgetful they managed to miss both our drinks and parts of our order.
Second blow: the food. While the noodles barely passed as acceptable, the meat was so tough it could’ve doubled as a workout—chewy, stubborn, and clinging to my teeth like it had a personal vendetta. Any resemblance to true Japanese standards was purely coincidental.
Then came the final insult: the ikura onigirazu, served with rice so undercooked it felt like it skipped culinary school entirely.
By the end of the meal, I walked away with a lighter wallet and a stomach full of regret—a tragic ending to what should’ve been a simple, satisfying meal.

The ramen noodles are quite thick and have a nice, chewy texture. The miso soup base is rich and flavourful. Overall, a pretty solid bowl of ramen!

Revisited this Japanese Ramen Restaurant again after watching a Youtude video review a few days ago. My 1st patronization should be in 2014 when they first operated here in SG.
Their signature homemade Niigata styled curly noodles and Shoyu broth were a hit back then, and it is still a hit till now, as there were a 30 to 45 minutes queue during lunchtime on a Saturday.
We were eventually settled down after a 35 minutes queue and ordered their basic Ramen dishes that came about 10 to 15 minutes later.
Their “Tonkotsu Ramen with Flavored Soft-Boiled Egg”, had a light creamy broth, with distinctive Shoyu flavour (Niigata style), but i had difficulty identifying hint of pork flavours and it tasted very much like full Shoyu broth Ramen instead.
Together with their homemade curly noodles that were served firm, chewy and springy, topped with slices of Pork Belly (On the leaner side, thus not really soft), Soft-Boiled Egg, Black Fungus and Spinach, the whole bowl of was just lacking. The broth was also too salty to finish till the last few sip.
We ordered their “Maze Soba Aburi Chashu” too and well we were glad we did, even though its not what we came for. Its intensely savory, with a good mix of sweet, salty, mild spicy and smoky notes. Its was a more satisfying dish than the Tonkotsu Ramen personally.
Overall, our dining experience was considered good, even though we thought we should had ordered their signature Niigata Shoyu Ramen, instead of Tonkotsu Ramen and also try their Rich Dried Sardine Tsukemen, the atmosphere of the restaurant was cosy and calming, thus we were more forgiving to the food, as well as their not so attentive and stressful looking service staffs.

This is truly a great ramen place. The soup is very well made with raw ingredients and they are made with great heart, because the aroma and fullness of the soup is outstanding.
Before I forget they have a 7-8 range of good sake, that you can order by the glass, so you can sample 2-3 different sake, without buying a half or full bottle. And the sake really taste great, with good aroma, balance, and fragrance. Loved it.
Back to the noodle, it is al dente, so it is bouncy and chewy, just the raight spongeyness. The soup as I mentioned is really good quality because you can taste is freshness and richness.
We ordered one with the Shoyu and the other is the Sardine broth, both were excellent. The soup was good all to the last spoon!
We started the night with Oden, and it is served with the usual stuff and it comes with mustard. And it goes very well with the egg, radish, fish roll, etc etc.
We also ordered the cucumber appetizer that comes with a spicy miso sauce. And i liked it because it creates freshness in the mouth betweent he spoons of delicious noodle that you are having.
Last but not least the service was good. The people looked tired, so you need to wave or call out to them to get attention. IT is not a deal-breaker, but i do think that they have take care of their own staff, as one can clearly see the outlet is making money.
The long queue is to be taken seriously. If you go after 6.30pm you may have to wait for 45 mins or more. So go before 6.15pm to get a good table fast. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for high quality ramen.
