Horrible experience and dishonest service. I purchased a shirt and a pair of pants. I gave clear instructions for the shirt alterations, which were completely ignored. When I brought it to their attention, I was LIED TO, they promised they would remake the shirt with a 23-inch shoulder width (I even offered to pay extra!), but the replacement was exactly the same 20-inch width. On top of the service issue, the pants quality is terrible; the button cracked and broke after only one day of use. Even at $110, this quality is simply horrendous.

Very bad experience with Richie’s Custom Tailors. If you have an upcoming big day and planning to get a custom tailored suit and dress, look elsewhere. My family and I decided to look for 3 suits and 1 dress to be tailored made and none of them turned out great despite numerous fittings. 2 weeks out from the big day, Richard did not meet the expectations and knowing that we were short on time - He said he will do a refund and not continue with it. Thankfully though, we sourced for alternatives way before knowing that something like this would come up. I’ll break down the experience of the 4 pieces below. It’s a long read but trust me, it’s worth it. 1. Tailored Made Suit For The Groom The material was of absolutely bad quality. Even with linings on, you can literally see through the pants and the inner pockets lining are visible. The pants are also noticeably longer on one side and this has been brought up in the 2nd fitting to which Richard said he’ll get it fixed. 3rd fitting came and it’s still the same and Richard blamed it the groom’s calf. Saying there’s muscle imbalances. Seriously? We have no such occurrences with clothes elsewhere and furthermore this is supposed to be TAILORED MADE. 2. Tailored Made Suit For Bride’s Father 3 fittings and the suit still can’t fit. There is no shape as well. It is straight up a suit with no cutting and you’ll look like a rectangle with the suit on. Period. And Richard’s reply? The same. Blaming it on the body shape. Once again, this is supposed to be tailored made. 3. Tailored Made Suit For Bride’s Brother 2 fittings and suit still can’t fit. Length is way off. Too short. No cutting either. Straight up rectangular shape. 4. Tailored Made Dress For Bride’s Mum Was promised 4 fittings prior to placing an order. 1 month later and we still have yet to even see the material in person! Katherine, an employee I assume - Was full of lies. End up telling us there will only be 2 fittings and there’s still time, why are we so rushed about it? And when asked why is it taking so long, she had the cheeks to blame it on us, for choosing a lace she is having problem finding! If you are unable to fulfill the requests then let us know from the start. Not blaming it on us after collecting deposit etc. Bottom line, full of lies and measurements are way off. Claims to be 46 years of experience but the results shows otherwise. Go at your own risk.

I agree with Justin lees comments I ordered a custom made dress and jacket What arrived in Australia was an absolute nightmare Dress was like an oversized nightdress There were stitch marks showing where the jacket had been altered no Chinese style loop fastener on front of jacket chalk marks all over I had to wear a dress I already had to my daughters wedding Sent goods back and they are refusing a refund saying they can fix the problem etc etc etc Then saying I was to blame This Catherine is just full of lies Richie will not communicate with us What Justin said in his review is true the same is happening to us Do not go near this business they are bad news I thinks zero in stars is what should be given
