REFASH operates Singapore's largest thrift store at The Centrepoint, occupying units #02-45/46 at 176 Orchard Road with a mission to "inspire the next generation of consumers to think secondhand first." The store exemplifies growing consumer interest in sustainable fashion, circular economy principles, and ethical consumption alternatives to fast fashion's environmental and social costs.
The shop gives new life to millions of used clothing items, offering branded fashion from labels like Zara, Love Bonito, The Editor's Market, and Lovet at discounts up to 90% off original retail prices. This value proposition appeals across demographic segments - budget-conscious shoppers seeking affordable fashion, environmentally aware consumers prioritising sustainability, and treasure hunters enjoying the thrill of finding unique pieces among curated secondhand selections.
REFASH's special .90 sale section provides exceptional value, making fashion accessible at price points that compete with budget fast-fashion retailers whilst delivering superior sustainability credentials. The Centrepoint location benefits from Somerset MRT accessibility and Orchard Road foot traffic, attracting shoppers already visiting the mall alongside destination visitors specifically seeking thrift shopping experiences.
Operating daily from 10am to 10pm, REFASH accommodates varied schedules including evening and weekend shoppers. The store represents part of Singapore's expanding secondhand retail sector, which addresses both economic affordability concerns and growing awareness of fashion industry environmental impacts. For younger consumers particularly, thrift shopping has evolved from necessity-driven to aspirational, with secondhand fashion increasingly viewed as conscious choice rather than compromise.

As a frequent patron, it was appalling to encounter the girl working closing shift on October 8, who was extremely rude, obnoxious and full of herself. We had many things we were considering buying, she started trying to kick us out at 8:15 pm when store's official published closing hour is 9 PM. Btween 8:15 and 8:20 PM, she proceeded to ask us 3 more times to hurry up and leave.
She was on her cell phone from the moment we entered the store, for the whole time till she tried to rush us out. She was texting instead of paying attention to what was going on in the store. No hello or thank you.
When we questioned why she was closing the store early, she rudely said she had closing duties so needed customers to get out early, and she was following her boss' order. I told her I've been to the store and other locations many times before, never experienced closing early or got asked to leave early in such a manner. And suggested she could inform her boss since we had many things we were interested in.
She started telling us about her closing duties, to justify why she was rushing us out. It was very unprofessional so I advised her it wasn’t our business. As customers, we were there for a fun thrifting experience, which unfortunately wasn’t the case.
She was still on her phone, even when she was removing the hangers (with one hand, and another hand texting) from our clothes, which was making some of the fabric being pulled and damaged. I called her out and asked her not to do that. She got upset.
She began getting extremely snarky, made sarcastic and rude comments towards us. When I was about to pay, she said "You should know how to pay since you've been here so many times". She also didn't bother recording membership details, or offered me to use a voucher I had on file.
I had to handfeed my membership details to her, and later found out she still never entered it (on purpose) so I'd miss out on points.
When I asked her to at least fold the pile of clothes we bought she said "there's no customer service here".
No wonder this store is going to close soon.

Refash had misplaced my items twice. On the second occasion, they claimed that I'd left fewer items that I'd actually left with them (40 vs 20). They'd informed me to pick up my 28 rejected pieces on Saturday, but were not able to find the items when I went over and told me to come back later; and that customer service would be in touch. However, customer service did not reach out to me. When I returned 4h later, they told me that they had misplaced my items, and that customer service would be in touch on the compensation for them. Do note, they offer $0.50 per rejected piece that they'd misplaced - i.e. I should minimally be receiving $14 in compensation. However, they claimed that I only had 8 rejected items, and that they'd only be compensating me $5. Honestly, $5 is measly for the effort and trouble I'd gone through making my way to their shop twice. I would've donated the rejected items to charity, rather than receive a mere $0.50/piece.
Dispute resolution process was long-drawn-out (it took 5 days in total with my constant follow-ups). Customer service team was apologetic but insincere. They discounted the fact that this is the second time they had misplaced my items. I don't think the additional $1 that they offered was in any way compensatory/helpful at all.

How can you even lose your reseller clothings and just wave them off with a $10.
Refash took in my bags of clothes to evaluate then they came back to tell me that they are not taking in the clothes (btw it’s all branded items like moschino dresses, none of it is SHEIN kind of stuff and I wonder why).
When I went back to collect my clothes, they said that they lost all my clothes and just offering me $10 for compensation. This is very unacceptable. Pls contact me and give me back my clothes. Otherwise, a reasonable compensation and not $10 just to shshhh me away, for my more than 10 pieces of clothings. I wanted to try out this refash but was appalled for this first horrible dishonest experience. They templatised their reply and it’s not even bags that were lost. You can imagine how many times they are doing this. Pls contact me and give me a proper reply.
