I visited Centerpoint earlier today, September 27th, around 11:00 AM. I observed two ladies promoting soap bars and offering free samples, but it seemed the samples were only offered to individuals with Chinese facial features. When I approached, the representative did not offer me a sample, and it appeared intentional. I am curious as to why this occurred. Perhaps if this is message from this soap brand's management??
I then inquired about this practice, and the representative confirmed that they were only offering samples to certain national people(Chinese/ SG) , excluding me. I expressed my concern that this could be considered racial discrimination, a concept she seemed unfamiliar with. I am visiting Singapore from Australia, where such practices are found. I believe this representative should be removed from this promotional role, as there have been similar complaints in the past.(good review). Pic attached of both for reference.

Hi there...
I was there on the 10th of Aug at around 1700 hours and was very dissapointed with one of your staff attitude. My intention to go to the Centrepoint is the NTUC supermarket to get my groceries done for the day. Coincidentally while passing by your pop up store by the escalator, a lady spoke to me in Tagalog language promoting your item. I can forgive her as we Malay and Filipinos look alike. I did told her that I am not a Filipino. She should have continued in English language. But she persistently continue talking to me in Tagalog. Then I told her that I am a Malay. At that time it triggered me and I was very angry. She quickly wish me a Happy SG 60 after knowing that I wasn't happy! It's all about respect. I felt offended. Not all people here in Singapore are Filipinos. I am sad that as a minority in Singapore we are being forgotten. National Day is just over and I am a proud Singaporean minority of a 4th generations. Please show some respect to all races. Speaks English is the best. I have already told her that I am not a Filipino and yet she continue persistently talking to me in Tagalog. The best part, she acted as if she was the victim and telling the passersby of what had happened. I have to go there AGAIN and EXPLAIN infront of the passersby that I had already told her that I am not a Filipino and she continue persistently talking to me in Tagalog until I have to tell her that I am a Malay. That was an unnecessary issue that makes me really frustrated. I did explain also to her and infront of the passersby that in Singapore, there are many races. We live in harmony and respect each other. Please educate her the necessary. Happy National Day! Thank you.

Been going here for almost 2 years now. Definitely improved my skin.. my beautician Jenna is a really lovely lady and she gives great advices on what I should do when I start breaking out again. She’s been working in this industry for almost 2 decade so problems like oily skin and enlarged pores she will give good advice. Overall a good experience for me.. I think I only go back to this store because of Jenna ☺️
