Andy is a skillful hairstylist who takes a personalized approach. I have been going to Andy for the past 12 years or more ( I lost count), ever since he fixed my hair (I had a hair disaster period; I went to 3 different hair salons in a span of 2 months and did different things to fix the hairdo that I didn’t like). Andy has great hair dressing skills and take pride in his work. My hair is not easy to cut as it is very flat and straight. Only Andy can manage it and cut it in such a way, that it still has body and shape. And he always ensures that it is easy to maintain, just wash and go as I am not the type that spend time blowing my hair etc. And Andy has great hair colour dye mixing skill and always gets the colour shade just right. I have been his customer for more than 10 years and really admired and respect his professional skills and business ethic. He really cares for his customers and treat them like personal friends and never abuse the trust that we have for him.

Andy has been styling my hair for more than 10 years. It is incredibly difficult to find a hairstylist who can style short hair for women that suits you. His method of cutting takes into account your hair - thickness, direction of growth, waviness, shape of face even your personality ! So don’t go in with photos of haircuts that you think you’d like .. he’ll tell you bluntly if it suits you or not 😁. At the end of day you’d be happy you trusted him because you’ll walk out looking fabulous .

Only Andy can fix/tame my natural curls with his excellent haircut skills. Most importantly, the hairstyles which Andy creates, are easy to maintain and almost hassle-free. I've been with Andy for more than 10 years. I've tried other places but so far no one is able to match his skills and techniques in cutting and colouring. Hair feels so much lighter each time he trims it (although he trims only a little) and I just can't get the same feeling elsewhere.
His current place allows only one person at a time so you get your hair done in privacy and with full attention from the man himself who also does the washing.

Andy Chong is very professional & highly skilled; passionate about his craft.
In engaging his clients, and proposing a particular hairstyle, he makes special effort to explain the importance and significance of the “subject” he is working on, viz. head and face shape, prominence of the forehead, arch of the eyebrows, shape of the eyes, nose, height of cheek bones, curvature of the lips, and angularity of the chin. This once-upon-a-time lecturer also taught & trained many young aspiring hairstylists - am sure Andy made a very positive impact on their careers.
Since Andy became my hairstylist in 2013, I have had a number of occasions when strangers walked up to me to ask: “Miss/ Ma’am, you have such a nice haircut! Who is your hairdresser ?!!” Need I say more ? 😉

I’ve known Andy for more than 20 years since his days at Promenade (remember that building??). I have thick curly hair and his signature “wash and wear” look for me is brilliant! I simply style my hair with a bit of wax and I’m good to go.
