Ofira Amazing Thai Food positions itself as a destination for diners seeking robust, authentic Thai flavors within the accessible environment of Far East Plaza. This establishment distinguishes itself through commitment to the complex seasoning profiles and careful balance that characterize well-executed Thai cuisine, moving beyond the simplified versions often served at more tourist-oriented venues. The restaurant's name signals confidence in its offerings, and regular customers suggest this confidence is generally warranted by the kitchen's consistent performance.
The menu encompasses the essential categories of Thai cooking including curries, stir-fries, noodle dishes, and soups, with particular attention to achieving proper flavor balance in each dish. The kitchen demonstrates understanding of how fish sauce, palm sugar, tamarind, and fresh lime interact to create the distinctive taste profile that defines Thai food. Portions are generous without sacrificing quality, and the use of fresh herbs and vegetables adds brightness to richer curry and coconut-based preparations.
Ofira maintains operating hours that accommodate both lunch and dinner crowds, with efficient service that keeps pace with demand during busy periods. The pricing structure reflects the restaurant's positioning as a solid mid-range option - more substantial and authentic than food court Thai outlets while remaining accessible compared to upscale Thai restaurants elsewhere in the Orchard area. The straightforward environment allows the food to take center stage.

Food is horrible. Crab fried rice is rice plus a bit of crab meat and lots of raw onion and not even mix well. No fried rice taste and fish soup is worse. Can’t drink. Lots of raw vegetables. Trust the low scores. I paid the
price because I didn’t.

Our orders were served quickly. Disappointed that tom yum soup consisted of processed items like factory fishballs & fake crab cake. Pandan-wrapped chicken was some weird “otah” style paste with bits of chicken

I must admit, my partner and I were attracted because of the price. We didn't read the reviews because we were quite hungry and curious at the same time.
The service was fast. No complaints, 5/5. But, when the food arrived, we understood why the recent reviews were quite bad.
We ordered rice with beef, green curry and vegetable. Paid $18.90. The portions were sad, especially the beef rice. The curry has few bone-in drummette or wing part that has the least meat with 2 brinjal.
Honestly, the food tasted good. With the location, it is indeed impossible to sell proper food at this price, but probably the owner decided to chop the portion to win competition from the nearby larger Thai restaurant.
Frankly we would pay a higher price point for a decent portion of meal. We were left unsatisfied and need to go to other place for second serving, brings the cost of the lunch to exceed the other restaurants in the area. Yes we could order more but the experience deterred us from ordering anything else, in the future as well.

Enjoyed a late lunch on 24 July 2024 at this cosy nook in Far East Plaza. Very budget-friendly and delicious. It's amazing the variety of dishes (see the menu) that zip out of the small food-prep area.
Mains: Fried Tung Hoon ( Bean Vermicelli); Green Curry + Rice;
Dessert: Rojak; Red Ruby (with evaporated milk)
Drinks: Green Apple Juice and Bandung

Here my honest review on this Halal Thai Stall.
This is not my first time eating here.
1st photo - Chicken Basil with omelette or Krapao: The taste of the chicken is okay, not too salty but a little bit watery.
2nd photo - Cold Barley drink: It is too sweet. I didn't get to finish it. I hope the staff will take into consideration to adjust the sweetness according to the local taste.
3rd photo - Fried Bee Hoon: It didn't taste as good as I expected just like a normal ordinary hawker centre sell.
4th photo - Chicken wrap with panda: I would recommend this as it taste like you eat chicken otak².
The ambience like a foodcourt setting. So don't expect too much but the food is served by the waiter. No service charge. Price range like a coffee shop or hawker centre.
If you happen to stay around here or having a leisure time with family or friends and finding a budget food, this place is definitely the best to dine- in.
Budget $10 or lesser per pax.

This place is very small but the food and service is pretty good. Prices are very affordable but portions reflect the prices as they are a bit on the smaller side. Overall, an ok place to get a quick halal thai fix.

Really love coming here to eat! They serve food REALLY fast and that’s a huge plus. The food is consistently good, and fairly priced:) Also like that it’s a little tucked away, so I have no trouble getting a seat here for a quick meal.

This Thai restaurant is always popular at Far East Plaza so we had to try it yesterday for the first time. It was good! Cosy eatery in basement 1. Food tasted healthy and clean too. Real value for money with reasonable prices. Thanks for the good and fast service!
