I was served by a very nice young lady today. Hwee Ling was very patient with my requests. It was difficult to decide on which colour to purchase and she took out colours and sizes of shoes to let me try. And because of her great service, I decided to buy a pair of shoes from her. The store atmosphere is also nice with comfy seats for you to try on your shoes. Tourists a plenty.

Bought my very first pair of NB! Was attended to by Mr Ilhan. Tried on the 2002R (2023 Lunar New Year collection) and they were so pretty! He was helpful and patient in getting the sizes I needed, & also offered some solutions on how the shoes would be a better fit for me (as the store happened to run out of half a size smaller). Though I said I’d think it over as I returned the shoes to him, he maintained his friendly disposition. When I decided to buy the shoes and headed back to the store an hour later, his attitude towards me remained the same. Glad I bought the 2002R, and from him at that! Very happy with the purchase. Would recommend! 👍🏻
P.S: The lighting caused the colours of the 2002R to look darker in the pictures here - they don’t do the shoes justice. If you’re interested in these, head down to the store to try them on! They were comfortable, not too chunky on the feet, stylish and I see them matching my outfits. Love that they came with maroon-coloured shoe laces in the box. Wouldn’t be my last time getting NB!

Would like to commend Mr Kelvin Mo for outstanding service experience on 29 Sept around 6:20pm.
I was looking for the 991v2 at Paragon NB earlier where I was told they were sold out islandwide and introduced to another model which I bought.
I then walked into the New Balance shop and Ion and immediately saw the 991v2 in both of the colorways that I previously asked for on display. Kelvin was quick to serve and told me he would be happy to process and exchange for me.
Kelvin quickly realized that their outlet didn’t carry my size. He showed tremendous care in his customer service and also dedication to team spirit. He chose to let me buy the shoes from another branch (which he very meticulously arranged to reserve in various sizes so I could try for best fit) despite the fact his outlet would lose a sale.
I cannot commend Kelvin and his colleague (a Chinese lady, presumably the manager) for their dedication to customer service.
I sincerely hope that the management or people of influence in New Balance can see this review and recognize the strong effect these 2 employees had in creating a lasting impression.

Walked into the shop and was greeted by Kelvin. He asked if he could assist me. Told him I’m looking for a particular model of shoes. He explained and clarified what I needed. I made a pair of customised insole and was told to buy 860 or 880 shoes. Kelvin then showed me the 860 model. He was helpful and I’m grateful for his service to ensure I bought the correct size.

The Launch of New Balance 991 x JJJJound on 17 Feb 2023
New Balance Singapore should have anticipated this launch which attracted lots of crowds, however the way the SG team handled was horrendous. It was not a fair play at all. ION orchard official opened its shutter gates at 6am (on par with the MRT station time accordance to the ION Security team), however people are seen trespassing before 6am and the poor security guards were having hard time dispersing. A unofficial queue was already formed at around 5.40am or even early than that and this was checked by the NB retail team from their store’s CCTV which violates the mall’s SOP. No communications were made between the tenant and the mall management in regards to this launch. This is a very disappointing scene to many. All the true NB lovers and supporters followed strictly to the mall and the security team rules, but yet did not get any, thus it benefits to all the resellers & proxies (most of the pairs are seen resold at carousell& maybe other platforms). A proposal was made on creating a raffle system, however the NB team decided to acknowledge the queue formed which starts at 5.40am (+/-).
Dover Street Market Singapore handled well by doing raffle and allowed consumers to only buying its own size with the staff checking it for any foul play, they make sure shoe to be worn on feet and walk out of the store with it and tags were cut off on the spot.
Hope that the SG NB team could improvise for their next launch in their brick & mortar stores, it also includes the online launch in preventing bots.
