Left Takashimaya but really crowded . Suddenly Matsukiya came to mind and the impromptu visit was so delightful. Peaceful and quiet and superbly enjoyable . The Momo was so good. Oyaku Don was superbly enjoyable that we had one set takeaway as supper for our son. Chicken oyster , and so many yakitori at very affordable pricing but importantly nice …
The service is great and staff are attentive led by their legendary Sally.
However missed the lovely Filipino staff who was off that night.
The chef’s cooking had been consistent and his Oyaku Don is my favourite thus far.
Will be back again and the pte rooms are so ideal. Wife and I sat by the counter which was nice too.

Had an excellent dining experience! Walked in and was served by the gentlemanly De Mo who patiently introduced the food choices and helped us with our order. The food was delicious and so pleasing to the eyes. The salad was fresh. The chicken and pork chop were our favourites. The squid was a close second. The hot chicken soup was so comforting, taste familiar yet different. Excellent food, awesome service, definitely must try if you are nearby!

Always a place to go to with my little boy. Try all the Kushiyaki please, they all taste so good. Dont forget the Wagyu Beef, Tontoro Shirataki noodle, the Omelette Rice, the Beef Tongue etc. Nice Sake selections, friendly service ( Dimo and Team ) , very skilful Chef behind the grill! Gonna miss this experience of friendliness, awesome food and vibes when we return to Switzerland LOL

Visited Matsukiya on a quiet Monday evening and had a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. The atmosphere was calm and intimate, and to our pleasant surprise, we were offered a private room even though it was just the two of us — a thoughtful touch that really elevated the evening.
For my main, I had the Tontoro Don, and it was excellent. The pork was succulent and juicy, with a beautifully marinated char on top that added a savoury crispiness. The rice was equally impressive — well-seasoned and full of flavour, complementing the pork perfectly.
We also took advantage of the 1-for-1 Suntory draft beer promotion. The beer was fresh, smooth, and definitely value for money — a great pairing with the grilled dishes.
The side dishes were another highlight. I especially enjoyed the bacon-wrapped enoki mushrooms and the shiitake mushrooms — both were grilled to perfection and packed with umami. However, the tsukune (chicken meatball) was a bit of a letdown. The texture was off-putting due to bits of minced bone in the meat, which detracted from the overall enjoyment.
To drink, I had the iced green tea, which was strong, refreshing, and had a clean finish — a great palate cleanser between bites.
Service was warm and attentive throughout the meal. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the restaurant wasn’t crowded, which made for a relaxed and comfortable dining experience.
Overall, Matsukiya delivered on quality, service, and ambiance. While the tsukune could use some improvement, the rest of the meal more than made up for it. I’m already looking forward to coming back to try more items from their menu.

Very friendly service. They took their time to not only explain all of the options but they also showed us photos. We had the spicy tori donabe (takes 25 minutes to prepare) but well worth the wait, chicken soup, chicken skewers, and walnut avocado salad. We loved it all. Great first dinner in Singapore.

Had a wonderful Valentine’s Day lunch at Matsukiya with my husband. The food was excellent, and the ambiance was perfect. A special thanks to Ms. Jeanette, who was incredibly accommodating and made our experience even more enjoyable. Thank you so much!

It was supposed to be a joyful get together yet it had turned out to be the most unpleasant lunch ever have at paragon outlet.
Food only served after more than an hour and not serving to all.
The whole food serving was frustratingly slow and messy. We were being asked multiple time what we had ordered(all pre-ordered with name and main course name printed on display at the table!)
Receiving more than N times apology from their service crew lead by Jeanette, yet nothing improve. We only see a lost team don’t know what to do with us.
And we were being served a chawanmusi in a teacup!! Totally different when we look at other colleagues table. What an experience.
The unfortunate event continue with serving wrong food, or missing food to be serve on same table.
I feel so bad for my team mate who organised and selected this restaurant.
It’s my first and last time. We are supposed yo have a good time. Indeed unforgettable but no in good way.
If you couldn’t handle big crowd at the same time, don’t take the order.
Food was not bad, but a hard no to go back.

Excellent service by Jenatte & Wendy. It was a pleasant experience and food is yummy too. We are a company of 3 & given a small room to ourselves. We celebrated my gf’s advance bd there and was already given a mochi dessert as a birthday cake without us having to ask. We truly appreciate it & like this new concept, Matsukiya by Sushi tei.
