I'm a big fan of marche since the Heeren HMV days and I remembered there was a similar theme restaurant at the basement behind china or far east square there before.
Rosti still as good.
One strange fact I found is the swiss rosti is actually quite soggy and buttery flavour.
I like our local version

Quite an interesting place to dine at, you get a card, then go around and order what you want to have at various stations. They have a lot of options: pizza, fresh pasta, traditional swiss dishes, steak, lamb, seafood, plenty of dessert options. The food looks and taste really good, but the portion is quite big for an Asian girl like me. If you want to try many dishes, come as a group.
The atmosphere is cozy with rustic Alpine decor.

There’s a wide variety of food options, and the presentation is very appealing. The food is tasty, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are quite generous. A great spot for meat lovers!

It is my comfort food. The rosti was pan fried to perfect crispiness. The sourness from the stew helped to wash the oiliness off. It was a sweet delight that the drink and a chocolate chip cookie was considered part of the set meal.

Pizza counter lady not attentive. Wasn't paying attention when I ordered. Served a wrong order. Added the ingredients onto the pizza and baked it again.
Chilli sauce always out. No body refill. Tell Liao to refill come back still not refill. Rosti was amazing but sausage was cold. It's been some time since I visited. The difference in food and service is definitely dropped. I came before the peak dinner crowd. I understand why dinner time it was no longer so crowded like last time. I like this place.my wife like this place. Still can eat la. But the standard drop alot. I don't think I am ever coming back again. Sad no wonder peak period dinner time no people.

All time crowd favorite Rosti is a must have. The cherry tomato was surprisingly very sweet and juicy, reminiscent to a strawberry (interesting). Tried ‘Today’s Special’ slow cooked beef short ribs with potato gratin which was good. Bought a few of their sourdough bread since it was on offer!

Pretty sure most people go here for the rösti based on the lines—I certainly only walk into a Marché if I crave rösti. They’re as excellent as I remember. Potatoes are machine-shredded in front of you and then put into a well-oiled smoking-hot cast iron pan. As a result, the potatoes brown and crisp up way better than on a skillet or flat top. It’s a hash brown but 10x better. The market- and farm-themed decor is super charming, with cow statues and all.

The rosti lives up to its hype. The smoky ham and cheese sandwich was perfect.
However, the pork bacon carbonara was disappointing if you’re expecting authentic carbonara from this place. The carbonara consisted of CREAM instead of egg yolk and pecorino romano cheese. At this price point, I definitely expected more.
The artisanal smoked salmon sandwich was alright. The salmon and bread were fresh and delicious but the amount of cream cheese was minimal. Their competitor (Paris Bag**tte) definitely does better in terms of that.
Staff was friendly and nice environment that makes you feel like you’re in Switzerland.

I enjoy the atmosphere at Marche Somerset— it’s vibrant and welcoming, and I’ve had good experiences here before. However, during my recent visit, I noticed the oil at the fish station looked very dark, which might mean it has been reused too many times. I hope the team can review this so the food quality continues to match the great dining environment.
