Went to Food Opera to try Lixin. Since it was around mealtime and the holiday season, the place was super packed — took us about 30 minutes just to get a table. But the queue at Lixin wasn’t too bad; even though it was busy, the line moved pretty fast. 1. Signature Noodle This dish comes with mee pok tossed in their signature sauce, along with a variety of fishballs and dumplings. The noodles were chewy with a nice balance of sweet and savory flavors, made even better with crispy lard on top. The fishballs were seriously good, super soft, chewy, and no fishy smell at all.

Absolutely love eating at TeowChew Fishball Noodles at ION Mall! The fish balls and fish cakes are fresh and flavorful, and the noodles are cooked perfectly—so delicious! It’s always a satisfying meal whenever I visit. Highly recommended if you’re craving a comforting and tasty bowl of noodles.

Was recommended to this place by a colleague to try the bak chor mee. Fishballs were bouncy and yummy, and the noodles were chewy and nice. Get there early before the lunch crowd comes by or else be prepared to queue for a while! Highly recommend this place, we will be back!

I went 3 days in a row cause it was that good! The softest and bounciest fishballs I’ve tried. Can have a fishy taste if you’re not too good with fish. But the dipping sauce helps eliminate it if you still want to try. Their noodle soup is delicious. Tried the dry noodles the next day, was yum but on the oilier side. Overall amazing!! Must try! 🤤

One of the Michelin Bib Gourmand-awarded food stalls at Food Opera in ION Orchard Mall, renowned for their legendary fish ball noodles. As a fan of good food, I was excited to try this place, especially considering its prestigious recognition. Upon arriving, I was greeted with a long queue, which I took as a promising sign of the food’s quality. The anticipation built as I patiently waited, and I could smell the fragrant broth wafting through the air, making my mouth water in excitement. Finally, after what felt like forever, I reached the front of the line and was ready to place my order. While the food did not disappoint—each bowl of fish ball noodles was deliciously comforting, be it dry or soup ones, with the fish balls being delightfully springy and bursting with flavor—the experience was marred by the attitude of the woman at the cashier. Unfortunately, she was extremely rude, displaying a dismissive demeanor that contrasted sharply with the overall warm atmosphere of the bustling food court. When me and my wife approached to give our order, she presented a rather frightening expression and a tone that felt less than welcoming. It was discouraging, as her attitude overshadowed what was supposed to be an enjoyable dining experience. It’s unfortunate that a single individual can greatly affect one’s impression of a place, especially when the food is as remarkable as it is. Despite the negative interaction, I must say that the fish ball noodles were worth the wait and made up for the distressing moment at the register. I’d recommend the dish to anyone craving a hearty meal, but I hope that management addresses the customer service aspect to ensure that future diners leave with a more positive experience.

I ordered the dry mee pok and sooo good!! 🍜🔥 Portion was seriously big, like lowkey enough for two people. Queue wasn’t too bad and service was super quick and efficient. Tbh, I like the flavor at this Orchard branch way more than the one in Chinatown, this one just hits different! 💯👏

Went to try the fishball noodles, it was delicious and fresh. Definitely worth it. I came around 1 pm so there were a lot of people in Food Opera and it was kinda hard to find a place to sit.

It’s located inside the Ion Orchard food court. The lines are long, and the staff aren’t very friendly. But it’s worth it cheap and delicious!

June 2024 My Singaporean US friend insisted that this is the best fish ball noodle soup in SG. Later, I found out that there are many different outlets all over Singapore. The food court is hide under a super well known shopping centre. Many people don’t realize there’s a food hall hiding here. The dry noodles is indeed the signature dish and it can be served with different types of noodle. I pick the thick egg noodles. I love the rich taste of the noodle. The fish ball soup created a great balance with the spicy noodles. Here’s my rating, 5 is very satisfy. Taste 5/5 Temperature 5/5 Spend of service 4/5 (they are efficient indeed, understand it has a line) Attentive and courteous 4/5 Cleanliness 4/5 food court is clean. Air con adds tremendous values. Will I recommend? Yes. Will I return? Yes.
