Very bad customer service experience at the Orchard Shaw outlet yesterday evening. The lady staff whom I believed a Malaysian (because of her Chinese accent), was rude and have been impatient in serving me right from the beginning.
Jollbean's soy milk and mee chiang kueh are actually very tasty. It would have been perfect if their staff are trained in customer service.
I don't think the bad customer experience is an isolated case, judging from my experience in the same outlet, albeit served by another female staff a couple of months ago. The front liners represent the company image and professionalism though it may be an SME.

Wanted to try the lotus biscult filling, bought one but it did not really suit my taste buds.
The peanut ones are the best.

smoked duck - flavourful, with very generous amount of duck meat. it complements with the bread
teriyaki - a bit salty but its still good; very savoury in a good way 😊
both are best eaten when warm and with your preferred beverage 😊

Ordered the Matcha Soyfreeze with pearls.
Ended up being a nice smooth icy drink however it started to taste bitter towards the bottom of the drink.
Have also tried this place other times, and other drinks have also been good.

Tried the soymilk tea with big black pearls (less sweet). It was just quite gross. The pearls tasted very coarse and weird, unlike the bouncy and smooth texture found at other bubble tea outlets. Couldn’t finish the drink in the end even after giving part of it to someone.

Went this afternoon to redeem 2 Lazada vouchers and the Indian male staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. When I asked what were the 5 options, he curtly replied “you can see for yourself on the app”. And when I redeemed the 2nd voucher, he just rudely asked “what you want?” With no context. How am I supposed to know he referring to sugar level or hot/warm/cold. He seemed impatient the whole time. Like so reluctant to do his job. Poor service attitude. Like I owe him something. It’s not like I was holding up a queue or anything. There were no other customers. Puts one in a foul mood. Will not be patronising again.

Ordered a day before for a delivery at 930am for a business meeting. 9am the outlet was still not preparing. Staff went to the grab device and said she “just received” but the receipt was hanging there alrdy.
She didn’t want to do some orders of the ufo ham and cheese stating it will take 1HOUR TO PREPARE.
1 hour for ham and cheese? Well, not patronising this anymore.
