江湖虾客 (Jiang Hu Xia Ke) has established itself as Orchard's premier destination for crayfish and Sichuan seafood specialties. Located at #01-20, 150 Orchard Road within Orchard Plaza, this Chinese restaurant operates daily from 5:30pm to 4am, serving late-night crowds near Somerset MRT station with unique seafood preparations.
The restaurant's name translates to "Rivers and Lakes Crayfish Guest," signaling its specialisation in freshwater crustaceans prepared according to traditional Chinese techniques. Crayfish dishes showcase the kitchen's proprietary spice blends and cooking methods that extract maximum flavour while maintaining the delicate sweetness of the shellfish meat. The málà preparation, featuring Sichuan peppercorns and dried chilies, ranks among the most popular orders.
Beyond crayfish, Jiang Hu Xia Ke offers a comprehensive Sichuan seafood menu that demonstrates the versatility of the cuisine's bold flavour profiles. Each dish balances heat, numbing spice, garlic, ginger, and aromatics in combinations that have made Sichuan cooking one of China's most celebrated regional styles. The late operating hours extending to 4am position the restaurant strategically for post-dinner gatherings and late-night cravings.
The restaurant maintains active presence on delivery platforms including foodpanda and Deliveroo, contactable at +6591884147. The combination of specialty seafood focus, extended hours, and central Orchard location has cultivated a dedicated following among both Chinese expats seeking authentic flavours and adventurous locals exploring regional Chinese cuisine beyond the familiar Cantonese preparations.

1. Food was less than decent. Even when based on quantity, for a $58 crayfish plate, there was probably ~10x small crayfish
2. The pork trotter came with 3x empty bone without meat. When we questioned the server, he simply took the plate and poured it away. When we escalated to the boss, his response is that the meat fell off the bone and hence not included.
3. From pont 2, visibly that service is sub par

$38 for a plate of 辣子鸡!most expensive 辣子鸡ever eaten in Singapore. And it’s only for one pax! I can’t find on menu and I ask if there is 辣子鸡,he said yes and came with the bill $38. He does not care if you can finish it or not.

i didnt order crayfish, but ordered other noodles and found it overpriced. their noodles for $10 and small dishes around $8, can find for half price in china town. yes its located at orchard but it is a small outdoor stall with no aircon.

Order a beef noodle and served this kind of meat.

I have so much to say, but I don't know where to begin.
All I will say is braised beef noodle is very good, anything else is at your own discretion.

Really authentic China food! Top 3 will be the garlic crayfish(小龙虾), eggplant and smoked chicken.
The garlic crayfish is definitely a must order, the garlic sauce is super fragrant, and goes really well with the crayfish🤤
Smoked chicken dish is another really good one, really smoky and tender, the scallions paired really well with the chicken
Definitely will be back!
