Ippudo has always been great. But Shaw House outlet is not on par with typical Ippudo standard. I’ve specifically asked to have the appetiser to be served first and the waiter told me it’s their standard that appetiser will always come first. I said wonderful, great! But what came first was the bamboo shoot side dish for the ramen. Then arrived with gyoza and my hubby’s ramen, I’ve to wait for around 5mins for my ramen to arrive, which my husband’s ramen was soaking in the soup to wait for my bowl. Lastly, appetiser 2 Salmon roll arrived. (Btw, this tastes very good) My ramen minced pork was missing but the waiter told me that there’s red oil so there must be minced pork. Anyways. I didn’t argue. But one can see from my pic that there’s no minced pork. Well, he came back with the minced pork afterwards. Maybe a bad day for us or Ippudo? 🥴

The ramen chain makes regular changes to their menu which is welcoming, and the food items have remained consistent in quality and presentation across chain locations. Vegetarian options are always a plus to cater to people with dietary restrictions or allergies. This showed that despite maintaining tradition, innovation and positive changes can be implemented at the same time. Highly recommended.

This Ippudo is special as it had a separate sake bar. The food is as good as other outlets. At national day this year we had their special chicken wings, chill crab Gyoza and strawberry donuts. It was Fantastic and hope they do more of such special dishes on social occasions. On a separate occasion, their staff will recommend me their seasonal specials and they always taste really good.

Terrible experience here - we were seated at the high tables for dinner and were already halfway through our meal when a cockroach appeared on our table. When we flagged this to the service staff, even showing them photos, they just said that there were also cockroaches at the other parts of the restaurant, and said they would raise this to the “manager” - as though the fact that other cockroach sightings in the restaurant would make us feel better? While apologetic, no attempts at customer service recovery were made. Do yourself a favour and skip this. You can find ramen and customer service that is better, without cockroaches, at many other establishments.

Service: 6/10 Ambience: 7/10 Location: 6/10 Food: 7/10 Damage: $84 for 4 pax Overall food is pretty good, especially the deep fried mini crabs. Ramen broth tasted a little bland compared to other outlets(eg. MBS outlet). Sushi was fresh and waiting time for food was about 12mins. Went for dinner at about 7pm and waited about 5 mins before we got seated, even though we were first in line and there were empty table available. Restaurant was dimly lit, but did not feel cosy.

Review based on the time limited tropical noodles. This noodle is served cold with diced tropical vegetables like cucumber and tomatoes soaked in a soy milk kinda broth with lime and chili oil. The sourness and spiciness were pretty mild, just there. The toppings were good, crunchy, acidic, sweet so a lot of flavours were there. The noodles were the star of the bowl, chewy and extremely ice cold, which make slurping so refreshing. It retained the mochiness throughout the bowl. Furthermore, the bowl is served with ice cubes, to ensure the bowl remains icy cold throughout. One flaw I felt was that because it was too cold, the flavours felt a little muted. I would like to retain the same level of coldness, but would like the broth flavour to be upped, as I felt it was pretty weak in body.

Frankly the ramen was just alright.. there are small bits of fats that are visible in the soup and im not sure if this would be the usual standard. Soup wise, in my opinion, it wasnt mindblowing, infact if anything it was more salty than flavourful. The sizzling beef was a huge disappointment as well. For 22dollars its probably around 10 small cube of beef. We asked for medium rare and what we got was medium to well done infact.

Absolutely delicious ramen! 🍜 The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles had the perfect texture, and the toppings were fresh and well-portioned. 🥢 The service was impressively quick ⏩, and the staff were friendly and attentive. 😊 To top it all off, the prices are very affordable 💰, making it a great spot for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. Highly recommend for anyone craving quality ramen at a great value! 🙌 I would recommend the Akatsuki Ramen, the flavour was way stronger and we liked it a lot more. Salmon Carpaccio was good too!

Ramen was great... but was really disappointed with the fried enoki. It's so salty that it can't be eaten. I thought it waa the top only... but it's really too salty to put in the mouth. When we gave feedback to the staff... the answer was it's meant to be so salty cos it's for alcohol... I do pair my food with alcoholic drink... just happen not to be drinking tonight. There was no service recovery at all... this was what I left the table with...

Absolutely delicious! I ordered the Akamaru Shinaji Ramen and it was rich, flavorful, and totally worth every calorie. A perfect comfort dish that hits the spot — I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
