HAPPY GARDEN at Taste Orchard (花满园 乌节路) brings Chinese vegetarian cuisine to this lifestyle development, offering plant-based dishes following Buddhist vegetarian traditions that avoid meat, eggs, and pungent vegetables like onions and garlic. This vegetarian restaurant likely prepares dishes using mock meats and seafood made from wheat gluten, soy products, and mushrooms that replicate textures and appearances of meat dishes while remaining completely plant-based.
The menu probably spans various Chinese regional cuisines adapted to vegetarian preparation, from Cantonese dim sum using vegetarian fillings to Sichuan-style preparations with characteristic spice profiles, plus Asian-influenced vegetable and tofu dishes, noodles and rice dishes, and vegetarian versions of popular hawker foods. Chinese vegetarian cuisine serves multiple constituencies: Buddhists observing vegetarian diets for religious reasons, health-conscious consumers reducing meat consumption, vegetarians seeking flavorful Asian options, and environmentally motivated individuals choosing plant-based diets.
The 'Happy Garden' name conveys pleasant atmosphere and wholesome food, while Chinese name 花满园 (garden full of flowers) reinforces natural, plant-based positioning. Located at Taste Orchard, the restaurant benefits from development's health and wellness focus while providing substantial meals satisfying enough for non-vegetarians.

Quite impressed by the quality of this pastry…. Even though I was abit paranoid about eating rose petals (??) but then when I bit into it, the texture and the light rose fragrance got me :) the staff were very friendly and offered me a mochi rose pastry sample hot from the oven, and it tasted very nice too! Will go back again… hopefully they run some promotions to entice us to buy more!

This new pastry shop called Happy Garden make use of rose petals as main ingredient. On the 1st bite, the taste is so natural n healthy, not too sweet. This is also hand made by the owner on the spot which took 6 hrs to bake! Must try if ure near orchard. Price wise on the high side abt 4+ a pc.
Don't forget to get their Dako Tea (大口茶) to pair with the pastry which is infused with special lime. Taste different from the rest of the bubble tea n u feel ure drinking something healthier. Hope they hv stevia option in future 😀👍

Rose pastries were surprisingly quite delightful! flaky pastry + crisp/crunchy rose petals that were fragrant and subtly tart.

Rose pastry so fresh, like the one I tasted in Hangzhou. So delicious I bought two boxes again when my class ended

Caught me by surprise! I was a bit skeptical of how it’d taste but i actually really liked the unique and subtle floral sweetness. Packaging and gift set looks intricate and pretty as well, perfect as a small gift.
