The mazesoba is really very nice. Rich flavour full of umami. Highly recommend the aburi chicken with soba or the beef version. Also quite affordable considering at the Orchard area. Service is also good and as many pointed out earlier place very quiet so give it a try.

Excellent mazesoba, even the basic minced chicken one. Set meal recommended, great variety of dishes. Very reasonably priced vs comparables. Good service. Come support this little store. PS: Suggest order spiciest option, which is not that spicy in reality.

Halal certified soba/ramen joint in The centrepoint. Offer various japanese style dishes. The mazesoba set comes with gyoza and drink. Price a bit high considering the portion, the mazesoba comes in kinda small size and taste bit bland with no umami taste afterward. Need more spices i think. Gyoza is okay however.

Unpopular opinion: I read the reviews and noticed many people were dissatisfied but for me, everything was a hit. The ramen was incredibly umami-rich and flavorful. The service was impressively quick, I came during lunch and received my order in under 10 minutes. The waiter was friendly and helpful. I did request a fully cooked egg due to dietary needs, but unfortunately, it still came a bit runny that’s the only hiccup. Still, the overall experience was great, and in my opinion, they deserve 5 stars.

Truth be told, we are a champion for all things halal, especially when it comes to food. We came to know of Godaime through our daughter who explores makan or eating places a lot more often with her friends. She was the one who egged us to come try Godaime. This is our second time here as a family. A Friday night tradition we cherish as a small family as both my wife and I came from families which practise the same, which we hope our kids will continue with theirs. As such the choice of venues and menus have to please everyone with at least a choice everyone can like, especially for my Aspie son with very specific food choices and thank goodness rice and noodles without strong flavours is a base requirement. And we all know everyone has a unique preference and quirk when it comes to food but usually when the animated chatter turns to silence, that is a good sign that it is a good makan place. Especially one with hearty #soulfood that just hit the right spot. And Godaime is definitely one for us. Here’s what is published about Godaime – "Godaime’s signature is Maze Soba. Known as "mixed noodle" or "dry noodle", it is a popular Japanese noodle dish. Unlike traditional ramen, which is served in a flavourful broth, #MazeSoba consists of a mound of wheat noodle topped with various ingredients and a savoury sauce." That pretty much sums it up. But their rice or don offerings with the same design are equally delicious and good too. With a side of different level of their unique spice for those who crave a kick. Again when eating goes into silence it is always a good sign. Go pop over. With your kakis or family. It is not superlatively expansive nor expensive, or luxe or touted and begging for click bait appeal. It is just a lovely friendly – despite the lean team there we find the service efficient, attentive and kind – restaurant that is a comfortable enjoyable unharried spot where you can have a wonderful makan session with no stress. We must give a shout out to the waiting and service staff. The first time the lovely hijabi lady who served and handled the till still maintained a little smile despite us knowing she was all over deflty ensuring no customers were unattended. This time the two awesome guys who took turns to tend to all customers were not only equally wonderful but helpful too. At one point when I was stretching my hand, as we normally do for a family group wefie, one of them just stopped what he was doing even though he was clearly busy and simply offered to help unasked. I was not only impressed but deeply touched. What a beautiful experience. And place. Go support and experience it yourself.

As per other feedback, food is of good standard, taste is great as well. Just that the waiting time for maze soba is quite long. About 15-20 mins for the maze soba. The soft shell crab maze soba, comes with only one very small size crab, not really value for money, but the taste is pretty good. Will recommand to try the chicken or minced meat maze soba, along with the sides offerings.

Went at weekend dinner time but was surprised at how empty it is. Only another table occupied other than us. The staff told us the colour of the base - white, black, red is based on colour of the noodles, which surprised me because the difference should be in their soup base (sauce) in japanese mazesoba which is different in ingredient. The staff cannot explain the difference. So seems like their mazesoba is not closely made to japanese style? I ordered white minced chicken mazesoba and black cutlet mazesoba both served warm, not hot. No difference in the taste between both bowls. Their chilli oil is not spicy at all. The chicken soup have a kind of fishy smell, not pleasant although still drinkable. Can be a bit disappointing but the portion okay for me and I quite like the noodles.

the most horrible experience i have ever had in a japanese (halal) restaurant. needed me to check on my own orders and they need to take back my plates/bowls multiple times for not putting this and that? Came back with a Sorry we are new staff (fair enough for the apologetic gesture but definitely a no-no reason for f&b? so what you are new? i am a paying customer and your food is not cheap compare to an even more tastier japanese (halal) food i've had before this. secondly, i bought beef don with spicy level 2. i got a non spicy at all and i had to asked again? why is it not spicy waitress just proceed to the kitchen and came with a chilli/sauce which i presumed is uncooked as it looks like a paste that was supposed to be mixed with the meat while cooking (or whatever). but nevertheless, even if chilli will be put at the side then why with all the Levels required prior to order submission? just don't understand everything going on in this outlet. Centrepoint. 24/11/24 @ 11am I'm the first customer btw and i feel like telling the others "DON'T WASTE YOUR $ FOR RUBBISH SERVICE & FOOD." But I just don't bother, each to their own opinion anyways. MY HUSBAND ONLY GOT 2PC CHARSU WHEN WE PAID FOR 4. NO ADD-ONS MADE, NO DISCOUNT OR REFUND GIVEN DESPITE INFORMING THEM BEFORE EATING. HORRIBLE! Should be the last in the list of Japanese (Halal) restaurant in Singapore!
