I’ve always loved Donq’s sourdough walnut and raisin bread. Every time I visit Takashimaya, I make a point to stop by their bakery to buy a loaf. Just yesterday, I was at Taka and went down to Basement 2, where Donq is located. I bought two bags, each containing four pieces, for $8.
This time, the bread wasn’t a proper loaf (as before) but four narrow sticks. The smaller, thinner slices made it less soft and not as enjoyable as before. Why does everything seem to be shrinking while prices keep rising?

very dishonest behaviour at this outlet. dropped by to buy the chocolate mochi (which states specifically $4 /100g, ~4-5 pieces). i asked for 100g, staff took a pre-packed bag and charged me $6.10. i was distracted doing something else so i just paid and only realised after i paid that there was absolutely no reason why she couldnt weigh the amount i asked for???
heard the customer behind me also request for 100g and saw her take another pre-packed bag and charged him $6+ for it. absolutely dishonest!
when i go to famous amos and ask for 250g, do they give me a 400g bag and charge me for it?

Only one Aunty at the cashier. Can't wait, talking with customer very rude like "which one you want? How many gram? Don't use your fingers to point, i can't see"
But before that i already said cheese cake 100gram, she never heard and talk with me so loud.
If not happy to work there i will suggest rest at home.
Please be patient. Thank you.

I like the bakery products from this store at ION Orchard.
They offer a wide variety of delicious pastries and baked delicacies, all beautifully displayed.
My favorite is their fluffy cheese bread — soft, light, and very satisfying.
I always make it a point to stop by whenever I visit ION Orchard.

Service was prompt, even though there was a long queue. The cheese taste in the cheesecake was absent and the lack the fluffiness of a light Japanese cheese cake. I left them in the fridge and ate them a few hours later. It tasted like New York cheesecake. It definitely tasted better when chilled. The mochi was warm, indicating it was freshly baked. It was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Nonetheless, other than it being mildly sweet, it lacked the strawberry and chocolate taste.

Great place to buy their special products. Always there is a long queue of all age group people. The taste is good and freshly baked just there only. The staff is always busy to make this train of production uninterrupted. They are good and fast to take order, pack and collect payment. Test their products yourself to appreciate.

I like how the tray and thong is kept inside a translucent cabinet for cleanliness purposes, that’s a huge plus for customers. Breads are not cheap but better variety of selection. Great choice of venue for bread lovers. The lighting in shop is bright and neatly organised. Cashier is friendly and professional.
Taste and service is subjective.

Delicious breads and pastries. Though the price is a little steep, its worth it once in a while. The store is located at the basement of Ion orchard where there are many other F&B establishments especially those from Japan.
