A decent bowl of fish soup - pretty good but nothing out of the world. Nice to have on a rainy day.

I ordered the sliced fish beehoon with bitter gourd. I was quite disappointed when the food arrived, because the food and the broth both looked very "plain". Other than the fish, bittergourd and noodles, there was only tofu and (a little bit of) fried egg. The uncle had a loud voice but I felt he was quite friendly and attentive. The moment we sat down, he was ready to take our orders. He did suggest other food add-ons but was fine when we didn't want to order anything else. However, it is quite pricey and I didn't finish my noodles cos it wasn't very appetising. Would go for other stalls in the vicinity.

Pricey bowl of fish soup. Taste was good. Fish portion wasn’t worth the price tag. Owners were friendly. Don’t recommend their chicken wings, very average not worth the price.

Shop owners are arrogant with some attitude especially the male boss. The male boss will hard sell and makes you feel almost obligated to order more. For the price you are paying the standard is just ok. You definitely get something better elsewhere easily and feel happier. They will also kind of rush you and ask you to clear away your tissues or we will get fine by NEA. No idea what sorcery is that.

This is such a hidden gem, that I will ungatekeep for the benefit of others here haha. No picture of the food cos I practically inhaled it, as usual...lol. Pls look at other reviews to see the pics of food! It's a really homely and authentic shop with one of the freshest fresh fish soups, addictive fried fish variety and an extremely satisfying soup stock. No frills, but I always feel like coming here is like getting a big hug, through quality and freshness in a bowl. I first came year a few years back, and it's still as good as before. The lady boss and the uncle are also very friendly, remembering all the regulars names and bantering with new customers alike. My favourite is the clear fresh fish soup, simple but hard to nail just right. Truly a clear barometer of their standards! I also love their bitter gourd soup variety and their Tom yum fish soup. Keep it up!
