TLDR: Worth it, had a really good meal! Bburinkle flavour is unique and chicken is delicious! What we tried: Sides: ⭐️ Bburinkle Cheese Ball (100/10) MUST TRY! If you can only order one item from BHC, you must try this! The bburinkle taste here is stronger than in the bburinkle chicken, (more bburinkle powder) and overall it is such a good dish. Crunchy exterior coated with their signature cheese and vegetable bburinkle powder with a bit of mochi-like chewiness, coupled with delicious cheese inside! The cheese pull is super satisfying, the flavours go very well together! The bburinkle taste is kinda hard to describe, it’s a mix of cheese and vegetable, a little tangy with a refreshing aftertaste. Kind of like a much much lighter, milder version of super rings. I can eat this everyday. ⭐️ Red King Seotteok (13/10) This was SO GOOD. Fried rice cakes and sausages coated with an addictive sweet and slightly sour spicy sauce! The tteok (rice cakes) were perfectly caramelised on the outside with a satisfying crisp, and super chewy inside. Sausages were juicy and had a nice snap to them. The red king sauce paired really well with the rice cakes and sausages, it was much yummier than I expected! Perfectly made. ⭐️ Bburinkle Fries (9/10) Fries are pretty crunchy, very well seasoned but nothing lifechanging. Generous coating of their bburinkle powder, I’d say this is pretty addictive! Good to order and pair with Macho King, but if you’re also ordering the bburingkle chicken it might be too overwhelming! ⭐️ Original (plain) fries 5.5/10 These are nothing special, not salty at all, literally plain fries. Nothing impressive, so unless you do want to have plain fries as a side I’d suggest giving this a miss! Fried Chickens: ⭐️Bburinkle Chicken (boneless thighs) (10/10) Sink your teeth into this juicy tender deliciousness! The batter is surprisingly thin, and brings about a crunch oh so mouthwateringly satisfying. Not as generously coated as the bburinkle cheese balls, their bburinkle fried chicken has a milder flavour profile compared to their cheese ball counterpart. If you want to experience the true bburinkle flavour, I’d recommend the cheese balls instead. The bburinkle fried chicken is served alongside a small cup of bburing bburing dip, which is a light and slightly sweet yoghurt sauce. It wasn’t sour at all, was very milky, and the yoghurt taste was very subtle but enjoyable. As a yoghurt enthusiast, I thoroughly enjoyed this dip. It was indeed unique, and maybe not for everyone. ⭐️ Macho King (11/10) My favourite chicken from BHC! Looks a lot like tangsuyuk, macho king is an upscaled version of the classic sweet soy Korean fried chicken. This was sweet, slightly sour, and a tiny bit spicy. It reminded me a lot of kecap manis! The thin, crunchy batter went very well with the macho king flavour, and I’d say it was pretty delicious! The flavour profile is pretty strong, so I recommend eating this with rice to balance out and fully enjoy the taste. I’ve tried the Macho King chicken in ‘Whole’ and ‘Boneless Thighs 600g’ form, and I would personally recommend getting a whole chicken over boneless! It’s more crunchy and fun to eat with a variety of different chicken parts. The deboning part adds to the excitement too 😆😁 Their portions are huge and perfect for sharing, boneless chicken can be shared between 4 people! You can get them packed in a to go box for free if you can’t finish them, so don’t worry. ☺️ On my next visit, I’d probably get the sotteok and bburinkle cheese balls, with the macho king fried chicken! Overall, I really enjoyed the fried chicken’s thin crunchy batter and juicy tender meat. The chicken was freshly fried, and not oily or greasy. Ultimately, the food was delicious and I’d recommend a try, it’s worth the hype! I recommend coming off peak/weekdays, the waiting time was under 10 mins! Service was very good too. I will probably be back the next time I crave korean fried chicken! food 5/5 service 5/5 ambience 5/5 (love the views and atmosphere!)
