Average tasting grilled fish in broth. The broth was not that flavourful. The mapo tofu was well cooked, though.
They give a rewards card - every $40 entitles you to a stamp.
Neutral in my recommendation. There are much better grilled fish elsewhere.

It closed down for some time and reopened again. I wonder why the rating is low. Definitely underrated.
Unlike other houses which serve mostly extreme sour and mala hot, Baguo's yellow fish soup has an additional umami element taste. The yellow soup is flavourful and perfect in sourness and not spicy at all (to me) whereas it might be mild spicy to others. The fish is fresh. Really recommended dish. Portion is for 2-3 persons.
The chicken mala is recommended dish too.

酸菜鱼is very fresh, mild spicy and flavorful. Can’t understand why it’s got so many bad reviews. After the renovation, the fish is still so good! I can’t say the same about their other dishes since I only come here for 酸菜鱼. The price can’t be high as said by many. There’s no gst and service charge here since it’s inside food court. I have eaten here several times and not once I was disappointed. Everyone’s standard is different.

Food here is quite tasty. Typical Chinese stall. Price not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. They serve beer here so that's a good thing also.

Cheaper version of Chinese grilled fish 🐠. The food quality is average. The sauce is quite salty and the fish taste also normal. I guess I can't expect much for food court stall?
The waiting time is quite long at that day, maybe there's more people ordered before. So be mindful if u're in a rush

也太好吃了吧! We ordered 青椒, not too spicy. Love the taste of the soup; MSG level is acceptable cos it didn't give me an allergy reaction. The size of the fish is huge for 3 pax, but we still managed to finish it all up cos it's soooooo good! It's more of a fried fish to me though. We added additional ingredients and it totals to $45+. So yummy. Would love to return and try the mala version.

Yummy grilled fish with thick yellow soup base (we ordered pickled vegetables grilled fish). It's cheaper than restaurants but slightly more pricey than coffee shop grilled fish since it's located within Food Republic at central shopping district. 1 ful fish is a good portion for 2 pax.

Asked for mild spicy instead of the normal option, but it was still hot! Unlike some of the other mala outlets I’ve tasted where the mild spicy is really manageable. Spiciness aside, the taste of the mala pot is quite standard. Price-wise, we paid over $30 for this but shared it among three people.

This is the third different shop which i tried grilled fish and this is the least saltiest.
Add on luncheon meat and tofu and amount of tofu was miserable compared to tanyu.
