I always treated this place as one of my go to. So I brought my partner there. Hr ordered Oyakodon and subsequently bit into a staple pin. The restaurant offered free dessert as compensation. Want to guess if we took up the offer?

I've been coming here on every visit to Singapore since 2013 and always order the same items. I can say that they are consistently good, and the place hasn't changed much throughout the years, which is something I value. The moment you walk in, there's a sense of familiarity which gives you a flashback of every visit. I will keep coming back.

Quiet location for quality Japanese set meals. We ordered two sets to try. The beef was soft. I enjoyed the sashimi set. Rice was cooked perfectly. Will come back to try more items.

quiet fine japanese food with amazing service! this restaurant was definitely a pleasant surprise and the sashimi was amazing! the staff were also super attentive and friendly, helping my friend cut up noodles and everything bc she recently had teeth surgery. the vinegar rice in my salmon don was a bit clumpy, but other than that, it was a great experience!

🍣 A Mixed Experience with Glimpses of Potential! 🍤 The sincere, attentive service here deserves a shoutout – the staff truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome! ❤️ Visited on a bustling Friday evening – the vibe is energetic (read: quite noisy and crowded), so brace yourself for a lively atmosphere! 🎉 Food-wise, it’s… okay. The dishes we tried felt safe but lacked that “wow” factor. My shrimp sashimi was unfortunately a letdown – texture leaned dry instead of the plump, bouncy freshness I’d hoped for. 🥹 A solid spot for casual Japanese eats in Paragon, but I’d prioritize it more for convenience than culinary adventure. Maybe I’ll revisit on a quieter day to explore their menu deeper!

Reached out to Akashi Paragon a week ago to reserve an area to host some customers and to do a product talk. Was referred to Martin (Store Manager) who was very responsive and helpful, helped me adjust my booking when my numbers expanded. Martin is very responsive, professional and helpful, ensuring my customers are well taken care of, while I could focus on my product talk. To me, Martin made the difference between what makes a good restaurant GREAT ! Food was also good !

Good bowl of chirashi Don. More expensive than typical as the ingredients are more premium. Eel was alright. All said, some other jap chain could provide better value for the same or better taste.

Sukiyaki okay, fair enough with the price and it's taste. Tuna & Spring onion maki smells a bit too sour, i don't think that's because of the white vinegar coz a bit too over... worried if that's still fresh so didn't finish that maki.. Tempura's shirmp is sweet but with a bit more flour than the vegetables. Pic shown are SGD 150+ for 2 pax.
