Ah B Bakery has established itself at Lucky Plaza as a source for freshly baked goods, breads, and pastries that serve both as quick breakfast or snack options and as take-home items for customers shopping in the Orchard area. This neighborhood-style bakery produces a rotating selection of items that might include soft sandwich loaves for daily use, sweet and savory buns popular in Singapore's bakery culture, traditional Chinese pastries like wife cake and egg tarts, cream-filled pastries and doughnuts, cookies and biscuits suitable for gifting or personal snacking, and possibly celebration cakes made to order. The bakery operates throughout the day with fresh batches emerging from ovens at intervals, with morning offerings focused on breakfast items like kaya buns and curry puffs, while afternoon production emphasizes snack items and take-home breads. Pricing remains accessible to match Lucky Plaza's customer base expectations for value, making fresh-baked goods affordable for daily consumption rather than occasional treats. The bakery format offers advantages over packaged commercial breads and pastries found in supermarkets, providing fresher products with less preservatives and often superior texture and flavor. Ah B Bakery's location benefits from Lucky Plaza's steady foot traffic, particularly during traditional breakfast and afternoon tea times when customers seek portable foods to eat immediately or bring home, while weekend traffic increases with families shopping together and workers enjoying days off. The bakery contributes to Lucky Plaza's reputation as a self-contained shopping and dining destination where diverse needs can be met without venturing elsewhere.

Flaky pastry filled with custard, baked till lightly caramelised on top
Wanted to try the muffin because of the seemingly good ratings but decided not to.
Was greeted by absolutely poor service from staff who first ignored me, and afterwards gave a sarcastic remark when I asked if I could just check out my muffin.

Breads are delicious. Unfortunately aunty at counter has tremendously poor attitude. Not asking for impeccable service, just decent basic courtesy.

We stumbled upon this charming little bakery in Lucky Plaza while having lunch with friends.
Apparently, this homegrown bakery chain offers a wide assortment of pastries, cakes, and muffins, mostly under $3, and it is Halal certified!
The display was filled with tempting treats, but what really caught my eye were the super crispy-looking doughnuts. I'm not sure when I’ll get the chance to come back, I decided to try one out.
🍩Matcha Crispy Doughnut - $2.50
The fried doughnut had a fritter-like crispy exterior with crunchy sugar crystals, light and fragrant matcha flavour, gentle matcha powder coating, and a bread-like interior that stays super crispy even when cooled down.

Came for the crispy doughnuts but it was not on sale when we came on a Saturday morning. Bought six of their muffins and four of their tarts instead, and found them to be well-baked and good value. Would patronise again if in the area!
