In Good Company Relocates Within ION Orchard: Current Store Closed From 6 July, New Store Opens November 2026
Singaporean fashion and lifestyle label In Good Company is relocating its ION Orchard store, with the current unit temporarily closed from 6 July 2026 and a new ION Orchard location set to open in November 2026. The brand confirmed the move on its official stores page and social channels, stating that it looks forward to "continuing the journey with you at our new ION Orchard location in November 2026," with more details to come. The relocation keeps the label on Orchard Road, but shoppers visiting ION Orchard in the interim will find the existing unit shuttered.
In Good Company, founded in 2012 by Sven Tan, Kane Tan, Jaclyn Teo and Julene Aw, is one of the Singaporean contemporary labels that helped anchor the local-design conversation on Orchard Road. Its ION Orchard store, originally opened as a 3,300 sq ft flagship at #B1-06 in 2015, was the brand's first standalone retail space, built as a part-shop, part-gallery concept with design agency Traart and a cafe managed by Plain Vanilla Bakery.
Where to shop In Good Company during the closure
During the ION Orchard closure, the brand has two other Singapore stores open. The TANGS at Tang Plaza outlet, on Level 2 of 310 Orchard Road, stocks women's ready-to-wear and accessories, and is the most convenient Orchard Road alternative, sitting directly opposite ION Orchard. Opening hours are 10.30am to 9.30pm Monday to Saturday and 11.00am to 9.00pm on Sundays.
The Joo Chiat flagship at 316 Joo Chiat Road is the larger format, carrying women's, men's, accessories and objects across three storeys, and is the brand's most complete store. It opens Tuesday to Sunday from 11.00am to 7.00pm and is closed on Mondays. The Joo Chiat store is the one to visit for the full range, including the Mini Me kids' line and the Studio Karyn Lim and VES sub-labels.
What the original ION Orchard store was known for
The original ION Orchard store, which opened in 2015, was designed as a neo-modernist, minimalist space with granite plinths, black racks and light wood furnishings. It carried the full range of In Good Company womenswear, the signature handmade necklaces made of recycled metal and ribbons, the Mini Me line for children, and a curated selection of Asian labels including Hong Kong bag brand Hoiming and books from Math Paper Press. The 20-seater cafe inside, managed by Plain Vanilla Bakery, was the first time the bakery served sandwiches alongside its cakes and coffee, and it became a quiet basement-level meeting spot.
Whether the new November 2026 ION Orchard location will retain the cafe format has not been confirmed. The brand has not released the new unit number or square footage.
Why the relocation matters
In Good Company has been a consistent local-label presence on Orchard Road for over a decade, and its ION Orchard store was one of the earliest standalone local-fashion flagships in the mall. The relocation rather than closure is the signal worth noting: the brand is staying on Orchard Road, which is not a given in a period when several local labels have shifted to Joo Chiat, Tiong Bahru or online-only. The November reopening will be a test of whether a Singaporean contemporary label can still build a standalone Orchard Road retail business in the current market.
