*Urgent* Procurement Specialist (Chemicals) - West ( up to $4500) #NJE

• Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers/vendors.
• Negotiating contracts and securing favourable terms with suppliers.
• Sourcing and placing orders of raw materials (food-grade aroma chemicals) and managing the procurement process.
• Sourcing for new suppliers/vendors based on price, availability, necessity,quality and logistical expenses.
• Ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
• Determining inventory levels and ensuring adequate stock.
• Maintaining accurate records of purchases and inventory.
• Monitoring expenses and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
• Ensuring that purchased products meet quality standards.
• Enhancing procurement processes and inventory flow, co-ordinating with multiple departments
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.
• Evaluating supplier performance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Getting to know the global market latest trend for raw materials and be knowledgeable about raw materials function if possible
• Optimizing the purchasing strategy in order to better secure a smoother flow for raw materials
• 1 direct report –Customer Service Officer
•  Covering the role of CSO during his/her absence
• Maintain records of the company licenses (SCDF Storage License etc)
• Apply for a Free Sale Certificate (FSC), Manufacturing Cost Statement (MCS),Halal Certificate and Kosher Certificate concerning customer order shipment requirements
• Perform renewal applications for company licenses (Manufacturing Registration License, NEA Storage License, Halal, Kosher, Ethyl Alcohol Permit etc)
