Trading & Chartering Operation Analyst

Responsibilities

• Prepares contracts using the company's format. Reviews and counters contracts from buyer/seller.
• Implements import, export and third-party contracts of petroleum and petrochemical products through preparation of required internal and external documents, and coordinates with all concerned parties thereby ensuring that an incoming shipment complies with internal requirements, operating standards, and relevant regulations.
• Monitors shipment/vessel status and sends updates to concerned stakeholders.
• Negotiates terms for Letters of Credit with counterparties.
• Calculates pricing, arranges invoices, prepares SAP entries, and monitors cargo payments.
• Prepares demurrage computation and files demurrage claim timely, follow up negotiations and collection to counterparties.
• Handles coverage for all cargo and vessel operations matters for assigned PSTPL matters (including on occasion after office hours).
• Checks freight invoice and endorse to Management and Finance for approval and payment.
• Monitors vessel status and sends updates to concerned parties.
• Maintains timely and accurate records.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Management.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or Business.
• 1 – 2 years’ experience in oil trading operations preferred.
• Knowledgeable in supply chain logistics, maritime shipping, or any other related fields.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Microsoft Excel (experience in VBA, Python, data analytics Power BI, tableau or automation software is a bonus). 
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Bilingual in English.
• Highly organized, meticulous, and able to multi-task.
• Able to respond to operational matters after office hours and non-working days as necessary.
