Test Engineer (Bank I East I Up to 6.1k)

The Job

1. Devise test objectives, analyses requirements, develop test strategies and plans
2. Create and execute manual tests, track defects and report results
3. Responsible for end to end testing delivery for the applications in collaboration with other stakeholders and test leads/Test Managers of other interfacing systems.
4. Responsible for the timely delivery of different testing milestones.
5. Actively acquire information from stakeholders rather than relying entirely on written Specs
6. Actively participate in inception, daily stand-ups and retrospective meeting & represent testing
7. Accurately evaluate and report test results, test progress, and product quality
8. Work effectively to define testable user stories, acceptance criteria, with all stakeholders
9. Collaborate within the team, working in pairs with programmers and other team members
10. Respond to change quickly, including changing, adding, or improving test cases
11. Create acceptance tests that will be automated as part of each sprint
12. Ensure continuous integration for testing code and implement continuous testing
13. Risk and Issue Management - Identify, mitigate and escalate testing risks and issues
14. Manage testing environments and logistics for each test stage (UAT).
15. Monitor the readiness of test environments (including interfaces and data setup) for each test stage


The Talent

• Experience in banking or financial services industry
• Proficiency in Jira and expertise in writing Zephyr test cases
• Competency in using Confluence for documentation and collaboration
• Hands-on experience in manual testing and preparing test cases for automation
• Strong understanding of Agile methodology and participation in daily stand-ups
• Ability to manage UAT environments, track defects, and report results accurately
• Skilled in risk and issue management during testing phases
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with developers and stakeholders
