Technical Superintendent

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for efficient and safe daily technical operations of the tanker vessels under his/ her care.
• Ensure close collaboration with Vessel management, Commercial, Marine team & other stake holders to have Total Cost of Ownership in every operations decision.
• Manage financial budgets and cost control for maintenance, repairs, stores, modifications, and dry dockings, whilst ensuring compliance with Industry, Class, and international regulations.
• Responsible for all Vessel KPIs including DRC, safety, tradability & energy performance.
• Follow up on the performance of the vessels and implement corrective actions as required.
• To carry out performance appraisal for sr. management team on board & follow-up on performance development accordingly.
• Ensure that all vessel certification and surveys for class, flag and international requirements are in order.
• To conduct ship visits, including audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• To carry out ad-hoc tasks and projects professionally and competently as assigned.

Mandatory:

• Sailing experience of at least 6 months as senior officer on-board Chemical/Product Tankers.
• Recommended: Chief Engineer's certificate of competency.
• Recommended: Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Desirable: 2-4 years of experience as technical superintendent will be an advantage
