Staff Nurse (OT / Day Surgery)

Are you an experienced Nurse who enjoys working in a dynamic surgical environment? Join our growing team in a modern-day surgery Centre, where you’ll support a wide range of surgical procedures and play a key role in delivering excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Intraoperative & Perioperative Care:

• Prepare and perform all surgical procedures in a sterile manner, ensuring asepsis and sterility at all times.
• Coordinate and prepare surgical equipment, instruments, and consumables according to the daily surgical list and surgeon preferences.
• Perform scrubbing, circulating, and recovery nurse duties as required.
• Participate in safe anaesthetic care for general, regional, and deep sedation cases.
• Conduct complete instrument and accessory counts at key operative stages.
• Handle sharps and contaminated waste safely and effectively.

Pre- & Post-Operative Care:

• Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative nursing care.
• Assist with patient transfer to and from the operating theatre and recovery areas.
• Monitor and support patients during recovery.

OT Operations & Housekeeping:

• Maintain OT cleanliness and housekeeping in accordance with infection control standards.
• Assist in managing the operating theatre facility and ensuring readiness for daily lists.
• Support procedures across multiple specialities including ENT, Plastics, Urology, Dental, Ophthalmology, and O&G.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by Nurse Managers or Clinical Leads.

Requirements

Essential:

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognised institution approved by Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
• Valid SNB registration.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Operating Theatre / Day Surgery settings.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Able to commit to rotating shifts (Weekdays 7am- 7pm / Saturdays 7am – 1pm).

Preferred:

• Prior scrubbing experience across multiple surgical specialties.
• BCLS and ACLS certification.
• Positive, proactive team player willing to support new initiatives.
