Job Summary

Develop and maintain advanced timing models for mixed signal circuits and complex standard cells, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate static timing analysis and high-quality model delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop timing models (NLDM, CCS, and LVF) for advanced technology nodes in mixed signal circuits and complex standard cells
• Perform static timing analysis runs and collaborate with physical design, layout, and STA teams to define constraints and optimize design hierarchy
• Review timing reports and generate timing models that meet design specifications
• Develop and update quality check scripts to ensure accuracy and reliability of timing models
• Manage the release and maintenance of timing model databases to support design workflows

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Engineering
• Understand MOSFET electrical characteristics and apply transistor-level circuit simulators such as HSPICE and SPECTRE for model development
• Apply knowledge of DRC and LVS review processes and industry-standard modeling formats including Liberty (CCS, NLDM, LVF), Verilog, LEF, Milkyway, NDM, CLIB, and SPICE
• Operate effectively in a Linux environment using load sharing systems (e.g., LSF) and version control tools (e.g., ICM)
• Understand standard cell architectures relevant to timing model development
• Write scripts to automate tasks related to timing model creation and validation
• Working knowledge of Nanotime/Primetime/Siliconsmart tools
