Special Education Teacher

We are looking for a dedicated and adaptable Special Education Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality education, differentiating instruction to support diverse learners, and working collaboratively with staff to enhance student outcomes.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct classroom teaching in an inclusive setting for students with learning difficulties.
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with learning difficulties, including the ability to deliver targeted instruction in literacy, numeracy, and other core academic areas.
• Able to adapt and modify curriculum materials and teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Develop and implement an individualized Education Plan (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific needs, in collaboration with other educators and specialists.
• Deliver high-quality instruction that meets the educational and developmental needs of students with disabilities.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate students' progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' performance, including IEP documentation.

• Work closely with support staff, and other specialists to ensure a coordinated approach to education.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' progress, challenges, and achievements.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in education or related field from an accredited university
2. Prior teaching experience with IPC or IMYC frameworks is highly preferred.
3. At least 2 years of experience working with children with learning difficulties, delivering targeted instruction in literacy, numeracy, and other core subjects.
4. Familiarity with developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), including linking assessments to IEP development.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
6. Proficiency in classroom and behavior management techniques and the use of appropriate intervention strategies.
