Job Summary
Responsibilities (Main Tasks will be below points in bold)
- Analyze global and local EHS trends to evaluate and enhance company strategy and performance for continuous improvement of EHS policies and management systems
- Develop and refine EHS processes and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and alignment with certifications and awards
- Collect, track, and analyze EHS metrics and data to produce performance reports for the Integrated Sustainability Report and quarterly sustainability improvement actions in compliance with ISO management system requirements
- Conduct periodic site visits and audits to assess EHS compliance, promote best safety practices, gather stakeholder feedback, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with Safety colleagues to document comprehensive accident and incident investigations and deliver actionable recommendations for process or procedural enhancements
- Provide strategic EHS guidance and subject matter expertise to operational units and engage with key internal and external stakeholders to support EHS objectives
- Design, implement, and monitor EHS training roadmap and programs to enhance staff competency and awareness
- Develop and disseminate regular EHS communications including advisories, updates, and insight articles to keep staff informed and engaged
- Support the Workplace Safety and Health Approved Code of Practice (WSH ACOP) initiatives for the Chief Executive and Board of Directors by planning and executing EHS action plans
- Propose innovative ideas and improvements that extend beyond existing EHS system to drive leadership in safety and environmental management
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in environmental management, engineering, health, or safety-related field
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Health, Safety & Environment roles
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with Ministry of Manpower (MOM)
- Certified ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) Auditor
- Certified ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System Auditor with prior auditing experience
- Proficient understanding of local EHS and Fire Safety requirements and regulations, including BCA Green Mark, bizSAFE, and CultureSAFE
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Strong planning and project management skills demonstrated through effective coordination of EHS initiatives
- Excellent communication skills enabling effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability and delivering results
- Team-oriented mindset fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across departments
