Job Summary

The Sales Manager (Marine) will lead complex sales efforts for navigation communication products, develop customer relationships, and drive business growth within the Marine, Offshore Oil, and Gas sectors, reporting to the Sales Director (Marine).

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and close complex sales opportunities with new and existing Marine, Offshore Oil, and Gas customers to achieve revenue targets
• Develop, maintain, and expand relationships with current and potential customers to cultivate new business opportunities
• Document and communicate customer feedback and requirements to internal teams to enhance product and service offerings
• Leverage knowledge of Marine BU products, services, and processes to support customer commitments and gain competitive advantage
• Prepare or oversee the preparation of proposals and negotiate contracts for management approval to secure sales agreements
• Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and industry events to stay informed of market developments and identify potential customers
• Deliver compelling presentations to prospective customers within assigned territory or as required to promote products and services
• Engage and influence senior key decision makers to advance sales objectives and foster long-term partnerships
• Perform additional duties as assigned by superiors or the company

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in telecommunication or electrical engineering
• 4 to 8 years of relevant sales experience with a proven track record in the marine industry
• Established sales network within the marine industry and knowledge of Maritime Satellite services
• Experience as Ex-Radio Officers
• Strong customer contacts with ship managers and owners
• Excellent business acumen, communication, and presentation skills
