Job Title: Optometrist

👁️ Your Role & Impact

Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to detect injury, disease, abnormalities, and vision defects
Operate advanced diagnostic equipment, including slit-lamp biomicroscopy, fundus camera, OCT, non-contact tonometer, and Humphrey visual field analyser
Clearly explain examination findings and provide professional advice and reassurance
Recommend suitable optical aids tailored to patients’ needs and lifestyle
Prepare referrals to ophthalmologists when medical intervention is required
Guide first-time contact lens wearers on proper handling and care
Troubleshoot and adjust spectacle and ophthalmic lens fittings
Maintain accurate patient records and purchase history
Oversee inventory of contact lenses, trial lenses, and solutions
Ensure all clinical equipment is properly maintained
Supervise and mentor junior Optometrists and Opticians
Support branch operations with ad-hoc duties as assigned

🎓 What We’re Looking For

Minimum Diploma in Optometry from a recognised institution such as Singapore Polytechnic or Ngee Ann Polytechnic
Eligible for provisional, conditional, or full registration with the Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB)
Retail experience is advantageous
Strong clinical competency with excellent communication and patient care skills
