Remittance Officer (Bank | Up to 4.5k)

The Opportunity

• Adecco is partnering with a leading bank to look for a Remittance Officer 
• Starts off as a 12 months contract
• Located at Changi Business Park

Responsibilities

1) Investigate and resolve customers' remittances queries in accordance with the established service level agreement and payment guidelines
2) Work closely with business/service units, agent/correspondent banks to resolve remittance queries
3) Process failed remittances in accordance to procedures without compromising quality during the process
4) Adhere to agreed high service levels for turnaround time and industry /currency cut-off times
5) Ensure proficiency over established Standard Operating Procedures and compliance against all relevant policies, standards and guidelines
6) Timely reporting and escalation of risk events/incidents, control issues, suspicious transactions and presidential complaint for appropriate action
7) Contribute constructively toward improvement initiatives & projects in relation to risk management , process improvement, cost reduction etc.
8) Ad-hoc duties assign by Team Manager

Requirements

Good knowledge of remittance products and understanding of risk and controls
Good verbal & written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
Team player with collaborative attitude
Possess good problem solving and analytical skills
Keen eye for detail
Ability to work with speed, accuracy in a fast pace environment
Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and work under pressure independently
Strong knowledge in intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot table)
Possess high computer literacy skill to adapt to the various systems used in Cash operations
