Preschool Language Teacher (Orchard)

About the Role

At Odyssey, our Teachers are passionate early childhood educators who believe in nurturing the whole child. You will work closely with the Curriculum Specialist (CS) as a teaching partner, sharing classroom teaching and routine care responsibilities in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Developing the Whole Child

Curriculum and Pedagogy

• Collaborate with the Curriculum Specialist to plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with Odyssey’s teaching philosophy and pedagogy.
• Support the application and evaluation of positive classroom management strategies.
• Participate in classroom observations to plan intentional and differentiated learning strategies.
• Build trusting and respectful relationships with children through positive and responsive interactions.

Learning Environment

• Work with the teaching team to design and maintain a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment that supports children’s development.

Health, Safety and Well-Being

• Adhere to operational procedures and SOPs to ensure children’s health, safety, nutrition, and hygiene standards are consistently met.

Collaborating with Families and Community

Family and Community Partnerships

• Foster strong rapport with families through daily communication and customer-centric parent partnership practices.
• Participate in and co-facilitate collaborative initiatives involving families and community stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Preschool Teaching - Chinese Language (recognised by ECDA).
• Strong communication skills in spoken and written Chinese.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with colleagues, parents, families, and community partners from diverse backgrounds.
• Teaching experience is an advantage, but fresh graduates are welcome.
• Highly motivated, energetic, and passionate about children’s learning and development.
