Power BI Developer (Bank | Up to 9.5k)

The Opportunity

• Adecco is working with a leading bank to find a 12months contract Senior Power BI Developer

Key Responsibilities:

The primary focus of this role is to design and build high-quality dashboards, and additionally to maintain, validate, and optimize reports created by various business stakeholders across the bank.
The ideal candidate is passionate about data visualization, quality assurance, and performance tuning, and is comfortable working with deployment scripts using PowerShell, Python, or YAML.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop interactive, user-centric Power BI dashboards.
• Translate business requirements into functional, user-friendly BI solutions.
• Create efficient data models using Power Query and DAX.
• Develop measures, calculated columns, and KPIs using DAX formulas.
• Connect Power BI to multiple data sources, including SQL Server, Excel, APIs, and cloud-based platforms.
• Ensure data accuracy, performance optimization, and report scalability.
• Implement and manage workspace governance, Row-Level Security (RLS), and deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide end-user training and support.
• Support and maintain deployment processes for Power BI reports .
• Assist in improving CI/CD workflows for Power BI assets.

Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3- 5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI development using Power BI Desktop & Power BI Service.
• Strong expertise in DAX, M language (Power Query), and data modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or similar).
• Understanding of BI best practices, including star schema and data warehouse concepts.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Power BI governance and Optimization.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving ability.
• Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
• Familiarity with Git, DevOps pipelines, or CI/CD tools.
• Experience with Azure services is a plus.
