Patent Engineer

Responsibilities

Under supervision of patent attorneys to perform the following:

• Drafting, filing, and prosecution of patent applications in Singapore and other countries
• Global patent portfolio management
• Freedom-To-Operate searches and analysis
• Patentability search and analysis
• Patent documents translation (for candidates proficient in a second language)

Qualifications

• Engineering or Science Degree(s) preferably in the following technical fields: Semiconductors / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science / Materials Science
• With strong interest and commitment in developing a career in the patent attorney profession
• Able and willing to learn and work independently, proactively and under pressure
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• Preferably fluent in both English and other major foreign language(s) at a professional level, e.g., able to read and write technical documents in both English and at least one major foreign language
• Working experience in relevant fields an added advantage, e.g., in the IP service sector, R&D, Technical support, and/or manufacturing
