MATERIALS ENGINEER – R&D

Job Overview

We are seeking a Materials Engineer to join our global R&D team. The  Materials Engineer will focus on the development, characterization, and process optimization of high-performance intermetallic compounds and functional crystalline materials. He/She will bridge the gap between laboratory-scale synthesis and pilot-scale production.

Key Responsibilities

• Microstructural Analysis: Utilize SEM, EDX, and XRD to analyze grain boundaries and phase distributions in multi-component alloy systems.
• Surface Engineering: Assist in developing coating and plating solutions to improve the oxidation resistance and durability of alloy compositions.
• Data Synthesis: Maintain meticulous records of experimental parameters and correlate processing variables with final material performance.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or Applied Physics
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a metallurgical lab or R&D environment
• Familiarity with powder metallurgy techniques (pressing, sintering, and post-sintering heat treatments)
• Experience with precision measurement tools and statistical process control (SPC)
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred to facilitate global collaboration
• Requires frequent travel, with approximately 50% of time based in Singapore and 50% overseas.
