Lift Manager

Responsibilities:

• To oversee the day-to-day operations of all lifts under the management of the Town Council.
• To supervise the lift team.
• To review and recommend preventive and corrective maintenance works proposed by lift contractors.
• To manage and supervise lift contractors, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, KPIs, safety standards, and stipulated response times.
• To ensure that lift servicing is carried out in accordance with the lift contractors’ maintenance schedules.
• To oversee and plan lift testing and maintenance works in compliance with statutory requirements.
• To plan lift upgrading, modernisation, and improvement projects, and coordinate with consultants and contractors following the award of contracts.
• To prepare and manage lift maintenance and upgrading budgets in coordination with the finance team.
• To prepare and submit regular reports on lift performance, breakdown statistics, and root-cause analyses.
• To present findings to the Town Council, including Members of Parliament and senior management, when required.

• To coordinate, investigate, and review lift incidents, and report to the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) when necessary.
• To handle and attend to feedback and joint inspections relating to lift matters.
• To manage lift and escalator contract matters, including new BTO developments and contract renewals.
• To liaise with relevant authorities (e.g. BCA, HDB), Authorised Examiners, and LECFs on lift-related matters.

Requirements:

• Approved university degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or Approved diplomas in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years’ relevant experience
