Legal Counsel

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on maritime operations, contracts, and regulatory compliance
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
• Assess legal risks and devise risk mitigation strategies
• Represent the company in negotiations and dispute resolutions
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations impacting the maritime industry
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal compliance across operations
• Manage relationships with external legal counsel and service providers

Requirements

• Law degree from a recognized institution and admission to the bar
• A minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably in maritime law or shipping
• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and legal practices
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in legal research and documentation tools
