Job Description
Job Responsibilities
Full Qualification Course re-development work (Chinese Diploma)
Re-development of Chinese Diploma to create features unique to NIEC for Chinese EC language teaching and learning.
To review available materials and give researched inputs to C&P team.
To communicate changes to stakeholders.
To conduct Unpacking sessions for course under re-development when applicable.
To re-develop module documents, assignment descriptors, marking rubrics, session slides, session plans, SOW and reading materials.
Translation and vetting work
To translate course materials as assigned.
To review and vet translated course materials to ensure accuracy, clarity and alignment with curriculum objectives
Quality assurance work
Review Chinese CPD course materials in accordance to C&P guidelines and renewal cycles.
Lead benchmarking exercises organised by HQ for Chinese modules.
Conduct moderation with lecturers.
Perform teaching observations (full qualification modules and CPDs) to assess use of C&P materials.
Follow up on module/course evaluation conducted by SPOE.
To carry out audit work.
Collaborate with the Programme Management team and other stakeholders for curriculum reviews
Projects
As assigned according to workplan/needs of division at a smaller scale
Others (case by case basis)
Collaborate with Communications, Partnership & Engagement (CPE) team to edit and vet external-facing materials.
Provide data/information to stakeholders upon request.
To attend meetings with external stakeholders on relevant matters.
To perform other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer.
Job Requirements
Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field.
At least 4 years of teaching experience in an early childhood setting, including experience in curriculum leadership or related responsibilities.
Experience in adult education or training.
Strong written and spoken communication skills in English. Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese is required to support the development, translation, and quality assurance of Chinese-language curriculum materials.
Experience in developing early childhood curriculum for teacher education programmes is an advantage.
Proficient in the use of educational technology and digital tools.
