Laboratory Assistant, Clinical Chemistry

You will be required to sort specimens sent to the laboratory, key the test orders into the computer system, answer phone calls pertaining to laboratory enquiries as well as attend to walk in patients/visitors. Other job duties may include drawing blood from mostly paediatric patients (fingerprick technique, training will be provided). Requirements:

• GCE N / O Level, NITEC in Biomedical Science / Nursing
• Equipped with phlebotomy skills advantageous
• Minimum typing speed of 35 wpm
• Will be required to work on weekends and Public Holidays (based on roster)
• Prior job experience in a similar setting and familiarity with terminology used in the Laboratory would be an advantage
