Junior Trader

Responsibilities

• Execute trades accurately and promptly according to instructions from the Fund Manager or Trading Manager during assigned trading hours.

• Monitor global financial markets, including market movements, macroeconomic data, news, events, and policy developments.

• Communicate relevant market information and events in a timely manner to the Trading Manager and Fund Manager to support trading decisions.

• Proficiently operate various trading platforms and systems to ensure accurate and stable trade execution.

• Maintain effective and professional communication with investment banks and brokers to ensure trading instructions are executed efficiently and correctly.

• Consolidate daily trade confirmations and transaction records after trading hours and submit them to the back-office settlement team for reconciliation.

• Ensure strict compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, including proper documentation and record-keeping of all trading activities.

• Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. IT or technology teams) in testing or improving trading systems and workflows when required.

Requirements

Education & Background

• Bachelor’s degree or above; Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science majors are preferred.
• Outstanding fresh graduates or candidates with relevant internship / junior trading experience are welcome

Professional & Technical Skills

• Solid fundamental knowledge of finance and financial markets.
• Background in programming or computer science is preferred (e.g. Python, data analysis, automation tools).
• Basic understanding of AI technologies and willingness to learn their application in trading and analytics.

Language Skills

• Fluency in both Chinese and English, written and spoken, is required.

Working Hours & Flexibility

• Willingness to work on a shift basis covering global markets:
• Day Shift: Approximately 7–8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Night Shift: Approximately 6 p.m. to 4–5 a.m. (next day)
• Night shift hours vary according to U.S. daylight saving time / standard time
• Ability to adapt to international market schedules and fast-paced environments.
