We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef (Thai Cuisine) to join our team!
Job Responsibilities
- Assist Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations for the Thai cuisine section, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Prepare and cook authentic Thai dishes, ensuring flavours and techniques remain true to traditional Thai culinary principles.
- Maintain strict adherence to HACCP, food safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Contribute to menu planning, development of new Thai dishes, and refinement of existing recipes.
- Monitor stock levels, ensure proper stock rotation, and assist in managing food costs and minimising wastage.
- Support training, coaching, and skill development for junior team members.
Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of relevant culinary experience, with strong expertise in authentic Thai cuisine; hotel or high‑volume restaurant experience is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Passionate about Thai food, with a deep understanding of Thai ingredients, flavours, and cooking techniques.
- Demonstrates creativity, attention to detail, and ability to deliver high‑quality dishes in a fast‑paced environment.
- Sound knowledge of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to support and grow with the team.
