Junior IT Project Manager (Public Sector Project Experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring completion within scope, timeline, and budget.
• Act as the primary liaison between government agencies, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
• Work closely with stakeholders to define project goals, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics.
• Translate business requirements into clear project plans and actionable tasks for technical teams.
• Identify project risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
• Manage project resources, including manpower, technology tools, and budget allocation.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal governance policies.
• Provide regular project updates, milestone reports, and risk assessments to leadership and key stakeholders.
• Conduct training sessions and provide support to end-users to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing IT projects, preferably in government or public sector environments.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and data privacy standards.
• Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
