Data Engineer (1-Year Contract)- Changi

📍 Location: Changi, Singapore
📅 Contract Duration: 1 Year (Renewable, subject to project needs)

We are looking for a Data Engineer to support data-driven initiatives within a leading organization in Singapore. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working with large data sets, BI tools and modern data platforms while collaborating with business teams to generate actionable insights.

The successful candidate will work closely with business owners, data scientists and technical teams to build data pipelines, develop dashboards, and deliver analytics solutions that support strategic decision-making.

Requirements

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
✔ Minimum 1 years of experience in Data Engineering, BI Development, or related roles
✔ Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI or MicroStrategy
✔ Familiarity with databases such as Redshift, Oracle, or similar platforms
✔ Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) and cloud-based data services
✔ Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and database systems
✔ Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) practices is an advantage
✔ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
✔ Good communication skills to work with both technical and business stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Support business owners, data scientists, and technical managers in data-driven projects, hypothesis testing, and analytical use cases.

🔹 Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, and Grafana.

🔹 Support the Enterprise Data Platform operations, including service requests, change requests, incident management, and daily report monitoring.

🔹 Work with multiple business divisions to identify key business problems and recommend data-driven improvements through analytics and visualization.

🔹 Analyze large-scale structured and unstructured data to uncover trends and insights.

🔹 Design and build robust and scalable data pipelines for collecting, processing, and storing data.

🔹 Implement ETL workflows for integrating new data sources into the enterprise data platform.

🔹 Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.

🔹 Stay updated on emerging technologies in data engineering, business intelligence, and AI-driven analytics.
