IT Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of agency projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies, vendors, and internal teams. Facilitate clear communication and collaboration.

• Work with stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria. Translate business needs into actionable plans.

• Develop risk mitigation strategies to address challenges proactively.

• Manage project resources, including personnel, technology, and budget, to optimize project outcomes.

• Ensure projects meet established quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and policies.

• Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders on project status, milestones, and issues.

• Deliver training and support for end-users to drive adoption of new technologies and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Public Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., PMP) preferred.

• Experience managing projects, preferably within the public sector or government environment.

• Knowledge of IT platforms, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and data privacy best practices.

• Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or equivalent.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.

• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
