IT Procurement Specialist (Public Sector)

The Opportunity

• Adecco is partnering with a public sector organization to look for an IT Procurement Specialist (Public Sector) to lead and govern end-to-end procurement and contract management for development and ICT projects, ensuring compliance, effective vendor performance, and timely delivery through strong stakeholder coordination.
• This role will be a 12-month contract under Adecco’s payroll.

The Talent

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain or any related field
• At least 2 years of proven experience in IT Procurement.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and planning abilities.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Description

• Plan and lead procurement activities for development projects in collaboration with internal teams.

• Develop, review, and refine tender documents, specifications, and contractual terms for ICT systems and services.

• Advise project teams on procurement policies, specifications, and compliance matters.

• Identify procurement risks, assess their impact, and implement mitigation strategies.

• Manage contracts and vendors, monitor supplier performance, and handle variations or technology refreshes.

• Support internal and external audits related to contracts and projects.

• Review and improve procurement workflows and processes for greater efficiency and standardisation.

• Provide regular project status updates to management and manage timelines, stakeholders, and communications.

• Lead and guide team members to achieve targets and perform duties effectively.

• Perform additional duties as required.
