IT Manager (Security) - Banking Environment RT

About the Role

Our client is a well-established international bank with a strong presence in Singapore, seeking an experienced IT Manager (Security). This role is ideal for someone with hands-on IT infrastructure expertise in a banking environment, with a strong focus on governance, risk, and compliance. You will ensure the bank’s information systems are secure, compliant with regulatory requirements, and resilient against cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain information security policies, controls, and processes in alignment with branch requirements.

• Update and maintain documentation and manuals for security policies and procedures.

• Conduct security risk assessments, third-party risk assessments, and ensure adherence to MAS Technology Risk Management (TRM) guidelines.

• Safeguard confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and information in compliance with data protection principles.

• Perform regular system reviews, patch management, and system hardening practices.

• Monitor and analyze security and access logs to detect and respond to incidents.

• Lead or support security-related projects and initiatives.

• Plan and execute remediation for identified vulnerabilities.

• Perform gap analyses based on MAS advisories and FINTEL notifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on IT Security experience, preferably within banking or vendor environments.

• Strong knowledge of IT Security tools and platforms, including:

  • MASTERSAM, CyberArk, Morphisec, Trend Micro, Symantec, M365 Security

  • Firewalls, Proxy systems, Tenable Nessus, Network Segmentation

• Technical expertise in IT infrastructure:

  • Windows Server OS, Red Hat Linux OS

  • Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, VMware

  • Network switches/routers, AS400 systems

• Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices, including system hardening, vulnerability management, and security controls aligned with industry standards.

• Project management skills with proven ability to lead IT security projects.

• Vendor management experience: evaluating, onboarding, and managing third-party service providers for compliance and performance.

• Relevant certifications are highly desirable: CISSP, CISM, CISA, M365 Security.
