Job Description
Position Overview
The International Admissions Coordinator supports international student recruitment and admissions operations, with a primary focus on Chinese markets, including Taiwan and Mainland China. This execution-oriented role involves cross-border coordination, admissions processing, and culturally informed communication with prospective students, parents, and overseas education agents. The role requires regular interaction with Chinese-speaking stakeholders to provide accurate admissions guidance and ensure smooth application and enrolment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily enquiries from prospective students, parents, and education agents in Chinese, providing accurate information on programmes, admissions criteria, and application procedures.
- Coordinate and process student application documents, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
- Provide market-specific admissions counselling, including guidance on education pathways, qualification recognition, and progression planning relevant to Taiwan and Mainland China.
- Manage culturally sensitive communication with parents, including expectation management and clear explanations of academic outcomes and enrolment processes.
- Support onboarding and ongoing coordination with overseas education agents, explaining institutional procedures, documentation standards, and compliance requirements.
- Review and verify education documents issued outside Singapore to ensure alignment with local admission standards.
- Liaise with overseas notary public services for verification of educational certificates, where required.
- Conduct follow-ups with applicants to support application completion and conversion, using market-appropriate communication approaches.
- Act as a bilingual operational liaison between overseas applicants and Singapore-based academic and administrative teams.
- Share recurring enquiry trends and market insights internally to improve admissions workflows and communication materials.
Job Requirements
- Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese, with professional working proficiency in English for internal coordination and documentation
- Familiarity with the education systems of Taiwan and/or Mainland China is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-centric and service-oriented
- Familiarity with educational administration processes (e.g. admissions, student records, application processing, or academic coordination) is an advantage
- Familiarity with the education systems of Taiwan and/or Mainland China is an advantage
